It's a fantastic place my grandmother and grandfather's were caretakers I grew up in a little side is now closed where they lived that's a very small child as I visited today the happiness of memories of a childhood and overwhelmed I thank everyone takes care of that wonderful place of History not only for the United States but for me sincerely as a child in 1976 celebrating our Centennial I was 11 to this day I have all the memorabilia that wonderful. Read moreGrew up literally up the street from here. Fantastic landmark to be preserved but for tourists not familiar with the area - do not expect it to be open regularly for tours. However, in the 20 years I’ve lived in this area, Catasauqua does open it for some amazing events to look out for a couple times a year. Great for just walking close to as well. There are also volunteers dressed up to reenact the time period and add to the accurace of your expierience which is fun and exciting.
