I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep frustration with the service provided by Furniture Depot. I believe it's crucial to address the issues that have arisen, as they are becoming increasingly problematic.
On March 13, 2024, my mother, and I placed an order for a bed with Furniture Depot, with an agreed delivery time of 4:00 PM on March 20, 2024. Unfortunately, the delivery was delayed until 5:30 - 5:45 PM. While we understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, the delay appeared unprofessional.
Upon the arrival of the delivery team, they proceeded to assemble the bed. However, they soon informed me that the bed was too large for the designated space, measuring 67 inches instead of the agreed-upon 57 inches. This discrepancy was concerning, as I had specifically mentioned the limited size of my bedroom during the purchase process.
Furthermore, the assembly process was further hindered by issues with the bed's bars, which were deemed too small to complete the assembly. Despite our frustrations, my father and I remained courteous and understanding, attributing the problems to potential manufacturing issues rather than the fault of the delivery team.
However, when I attempted to express our concerns to a Furniture Depot representative, I was met with dismissiveness and disrespect. The representative insisted on providing a solution that did not align with our needs, suggesting a twin bed despite our clear preference for a full-sized bed. Additionally, the representative's insulting remarks towards my mother were wholly unacceptable and unprofessional.
Ultimately, we expressed our desire to cancel the order due to the inadequate service and disrespectful treatment received. Shockingly, the representative threatened to leave the bed on the side of the road if we refused to accept it, leaving us with no choice but to pay for an unsatisfactory product and service.
The following day, on March 21, 2024 at 10:45 am movers arrived at my residence unannounced and left the bed, which was still in disarray, with visible damage and left in an unsuitable manner in my yard. It surprises me to see so many positive experiences. Unfortunately, my experience is similar to others in which the feeling of being scammed is the primary frustration. I agree you walk in and are immediately greeted by what you expect to be professional individuals. My salesperson, who claimed to be a partner, made promises he could not fulfill. He decided not to let me know that the dining set I purchased for a little over $2700 would be incomplete upon delivery and would have to wait three months for the delivery. Upon delivery of partial furniture, the delivery team informed me of this. I contacted my salesperson, who stated he could not do a refund. I made the purchase in late January, and to this date, I have not yet received a refund or the rest of my furniture. I am currently disputing this purchase with the creditors. If no resolution comes, I, too, will be looking into filing a small claim. I do not recommend this place. I have dealt with other independent furniture stores and have never had a horrible experience like the one I am having now. I noticed the owner responded to some reviews; I hope the owner(s) reach out to find a solution.
