Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Cathedral City

My husband and I were doing a staycation at a local resort and decided on Round Table in Cathedral City for pizza. We ordered a custom pizza and it was perfect. First, they were not skimpy on the quantity of the items including the cheese. Second, while Round Table does not do a thin crust the crust was crispy and flavorful. Finally, all the ingredients were high quality and fresh. As we are originally from Iowa it has always been a challenge to find good sausage in the desert-all about the pork. The sausage was excellent, the right spice and not a speck of grease, the pepperoni was amazing as it was thin and flavorful, not charred beyond recognition and chewy, the mushrooms were cooked in a way so they added a woodsy flavor and the red onion-Just Love Red Onion! We also had 805 beer on tap, it was good but miss the Amber Bock they use to have on tap many moons ago. Whoever the two gentlemen working on July 19 2023 in the early evening were they provided excellent customer service and should be recognized. They were friendly and courteous. It is the little things that often go unnoticed but show commitment to excellent customer service and the pride these gentlemen have in their job. My example is the young man who poured our beer and took the time to reduce the foam and leaving just enough head to be enjoyable. He then thoroughly wiped off the glasses with a napkin before handing them to us. My husband said the place should be packed based on the quality and affordability as we were the only diners. Of course it was a Wednesday, in July, in the desert with temperatures reaching 116....

I will NEVER support the owner of this business again and neither should you. I was on my way to this place with my family who was visiting in town. Out front of the restaurant theres a 4 way stop. This lady ran the stop sign and hit my car. My insurance was absolutely confident that the accident wasn't my fault all they needed was the evidence from the camera from this place. I talked to their staff numerous times, my insurance also talked to them. Looks like the lady who hit me was correct she did know the owner because he didn't release the videos to anyone and it's proving due to the fact she knew she ran the stop sign and there was evidence of it. Because he refused to cooperate, her insurance refused to pay out and so it cost me because there wasn't evidence. And I still supported this place while waiting for the evidence. I came in numerous times and even order multiple times to feed the staff of my business. I will make sure everyone knows how corrupt this business is. And the foods mediocre too. Don't waste your money, I only supported this place because it was a small business owners. I will NEVER support this place...

This is my experience post Covid-19. I ordered a pizza on the phone and went to pick it up. I was concerned because 2 employees had their face masks pulled under their noses. In the 10-15 minutes I had to wait, I only saw 1 employee wearing the mask appropriately, covering his mouth and nose. At 1 point, 3 employees were gathered around the pizza oven where the pizza comes out and all of them had pulled their face masks completely down under their chin. They were talking loudly, which according to what I saw on the new, allows their germs to cover a 6 foot area. That means their germs were covering the pizzas as they came out of the oven and covered all the worktops and tools around them. I was disgusted. They handed me my pizza and I went home and decided to throw it in the trash. They have signs saying they are doing everything they can to protect us. What lies! I will never eat there again. If they behave so disgracefully and disregard our safety during a global pandemic that has cost more than 100,000 Americans their lives in a couple of months, think how bad their safety is when...
