Cedar City Auto Repair and Maintenance — Attraction in Cedar City

I had my AC fixed by these guys. Just searched online for an Auto Mechanic shop.

The day after my engine overheated and blew the gaskets. When I opened my front lid discovered that the cap for the coolant was sitting next to the opening. Turned out the mechanic was topping off my coolant for me and forgot to put the cap back on. I towed the vehicle to their shop to discuss. I was pretty nervous about it, as the overheating destroyed the engine and didn’t want to deal with conflict if they felt there was anything they missed...

When I showed up to the shop I showed them what had happened. The main mechanic said he didn’t ever touch the coolant, but went around to find who did. One of the other mechanics came over and said that he filled it and felt that he must of forgot to put the cap on.

These guys rebuilt my engine for me, covered all the costs and very very kind and helpful about it.

I was so grateful at how honest and willing they were to take care of if my truck. Extremely blown away by their integrity. I came back a few weeks after they fix my engine for something that seemed residual to the damage and they fixed it m, no issues.

They definitely got a life time customer out of me. I tell my family that lives in northern Utah to bring their vehicles down here if they ever need to be fixed, because if my confidence in them being straightforward and...

I’m disappointed in the experience I had with them because I checked reviews and they seemed like good people but they were very rude and tried to overcharged me. I called 2 weeks in advance for them to check what was wrong with my car and a quote how much it would be to be fixed. The first call I made was to set an appointment I asked if it was a free look and quote they said yes. The second time I called to confirm appointment I also double checked and asked how much it would be for them to look at my car and quote it they said again no charge that they would only charge to fix it. Yesterday I took it in at 9 am when it was scheduled and they didn’t look at it till the next day in the morning. When I went in to get the quote and the keys they said I’d have to pay 200 dollars to get my keys back. If they would have communicated that I’d be charged instead of lying to me there would be no issues. I looked up the prices of the parts they needed to repair my car and they tried to over charge me as well. They were rolling their eyes and laughing while my mom was trying to communicate with them. Come get you car fixed by these people if you want them to overcharge, lie, and be disrespectful to you. Oh and I now have a huge chip of paint on my car...

Took my sisters car here to have it looked at. Asked them to diagnose it before they did any work to it since she is on a tight budget. They said they would look at it on the 18th of December. We waited and waited for a phone call and never received any communication. Ten days later we reached out and they told us the only thing wrong with it was it needed a new battery and told us it would be $228.00. When my husband got in the car and tried to start it, it wouldn't start. He popped the hood and pulled out THE SAME BATTERY IT CAME IN WITH! The guy tried to play it off like he didn't know what had happened, but it is clear they were trying to rip us off! If you have any work done here I would highly recommend double checking it before you drive off. It's pathetic there are no good mechanics left in this town.

Update: We replaced the battery since they said nothing was wrong with it and it only needed a battery. Big surprise, it's not running again! The only reason there was no charge was because my husband told you to refund him the money since you were so clearly trying to rip us off. It's not our fault your guys put our last name down as Vylks and got the phone number wrong. Maybe look at hiring competent people...
