Where do I even start? We arrived here about 3:50 headed to Las Vegas and starving. Asked for water to begin with until everyone was seated and could order their drinks. Did not see our waiter again until about 4:10 ish she stops us from eating saying it was passed 4 o'clock and we were eating dinner food and she was going to charge us dinner. What?! Uh... Ok? I was assuming we were eating dinner since that was all the fresh food out and the rest was stale. My husband already hates chinese food and we came here because I wanted seafood. 1- how in the hell am I supposed to know what's "lunch" and what's "dinner"? 2- you expect me to arrive at 3:50 and eat the stale lunch food and not the fresh? Ok. I mostly got irritated because the waitress made an absolute scene and was so rude and wasn't understanding that we had stopped for dinner. So apparently we should have arrived 10 minutes later. Service was horrible, food was mediocre, 100% not worth the money. I would have rather bought tacos at jack in the box in St George. We are always making this travel (every weekend now) and we for sure will never stop by here again! Oh, and our waitress never came back to our table for drinks. Didn't even refill our water. We sat there for 10 mins to even ask for the check because the waitress was too busy eating dinner herself. Maybe it was because the food was stale, but I have had these same foods WAY better at other buffets! Awful food and service. To top it off... The plates were dirty! Not with smudges, but with actual food particles like bits of carrots and...
Read moreThere was 5 of us in our group. We were seated quickly. Restaurant was pretty empty. It was 12 noon. It was clean enough and we sat at a table instead of a booth. Table and chairs were fine. While it wasn't dirty per se it was kinda dingy. Food was pretty bad. One of the so called hot tables wasn't hot at all. The food was cold. We let one of the workers know and he said the whole buffet bar wasn't working that well at keeping things to temp and hasn't worked for awhile. Sushi is unlabeled. Was mediocre cheap gas station quality. The soups were horrendous. We tried the mido, hot and sour, and the wonton. Really bad. While the soups were hot the taste was just off. We did not try the egg drop. The fried rice tasted stale. And cold. Way too chewy. The veg rice noodles were bland and cold. The lo mein also didn't taste good. Abd the rice cooker rice just looked off. Surprisingly even tho the fried shrimp and teriyaki chicken were cold too they actually tasted decent. And my kids liked the strawberry mousse, the coffee mousse, sugared biscuits, deep fried sushi, avacado sushi, and the orange chicken. $100 for our group we weren't expecting first rate chinese buffet offerings but at the very least correct temperature food and food that didn't taste old, stale, or just flat out gross would of been nice. Unless they improve the recipes of many items and also fix the buffet tables we will not be back. Honestly I don't know how the board of health...
Read moreI was pleased with the service, despite the language barriers. The employees here are very respectful and do what they can as servers. We did not have to wait for the table to be bussed nor for our check. As somebody who wants to be a health inspector I was pleased for the most part. Use cation with the hard scoop icecream here and with the rice in the warmer.
The baked salmon was incredibly dry. And many things are prepackaged and come in frozen.. so that's a down side. Fresh food always tastes better. I tasted everything while we were there. The ribs and chicken kabobs were wonderful, everything else was pretty much too oily for me. Their desserts are just barely too 'generic' for my liking, as well.
The ice was, and is always, fresh. The food is flipped regularly. They bring out hot stuff constantly around 5. The kitchen is very clean so I have no doubt in my mind about the freshness and safety of the food.
The sushi, as we are told is sketchy, was cold as it should be. They have low-heat lights so it stays cold. They keep up with the time cards, too. While we ate, their sushi guy flipped and discarded a good majority of the 'old' sushi that was out. I, as a sushi lover, loved that.
I was extremely surprised at the low number of people there, especially for the quality of everything they have.
While it's $28 for the two of us and our toddler, it...
