I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible impact Shine on Performing Arts (SOPA) has had on our lives. SOPA truly has been the missing puzzle piece in our lives. Since joining, my daughter has found a sense of purpose and belonging that we had been searching for. The community established by Mrs. Emily is truly special. My daughter has formed genuine friendships and has been able to showcase her talents in ways we never imagined. The classes offered at SOPA have enhanced my daughters talent and also built her confidence. From acting to singing, sound and lights, costume making to prop design, the opportunities at SOPA are endless. We thank God every day that we found a community where everyone is accepted and appreciated, with Christ at the center of it all. Thank you once again for all that you do at SOPA. We look forward to continued growth and success in this...
Read moreSOPA is a wonderful company and I'm so glad we found them! The teachers and directors are high-caliber and encouraging and inclusive. Miss Emily, the owner, has a way of making people feel valued and confident and is teaching the kids (and adults!) how to shine their brightest through her patience and enthusiasm! I love how they make sure everyone has a positive experience while there, and if someone wants to be in a production, they find the perfect role for him/her. The sense of community and the way the actors build each other up and root for each other is so touching and so important, especially in this day in age of insecurity, comparison, competition, and diminishing self-esteem. I have seen so much growth in my daughter and every day, her confidence builds. She's making new friends and learning so much. Acting is such a great way to help anyone learn their self-worth, and SOPA is the perfect...

Last night my girls and I attended opening night for HadesTown: Teen Edition. We didn’t attend because we knew a member of the cast. I consider us fortunate that a friend had shared with us about the studio. We attended solely to scope things out and get a feel if this is somewhere our family might want to participate in the future. I don’t say this slightly. I left changed. The passion, the details, the ease, the dedication, the execution, the fact that all of it was dedicated to The Lord… remarkable. This is a VERY good thing! I can’t believe something like this exists in our...
