This park is beautiful... At first the park looks like it might be okay if the hotel property but it isn't.. This does mean it is usually less busy though bc many people see it and think it is private property .. There is a nice playground and tons of shade with benches and tables.. The Sandy part of the beach isn't huge but being so tucked in it never seems busy or crowded except on big holidays or events... There is a nice walking bridge over the canal/river and lots of photo opportunities.. It is such a beautiful place to bring the family out to go with a significant other for a beach stroll.. Very highly recommended

This is a park with a small beach area and a playground. We used this park to watch the Cherry Festival Airshow and 4th of July fireworks. There is handicap parking available, but there aren't any restrooms here.

We we're actually at the Maritime Academy Ship helping clean the Ship's pantry. Cheers to the folks who take care of our Great Lakes and Beyond!!!!

Sunset Park is in a beautiful location but the beach itself was very dirty and there were some shady people hanging around the beach around 6:00. The kids play area was very nice with the swings and grassy area, but the beach itself was covered in branches and litter. It is a shame the beach was not cleaner, this park was a lot quieter than other...

Cute park, great little lawn and playground, but a lot of litter mixed in with the sand along the entire beach. Pretty disheartening to have to chase ducklings away multiple times from trying to eat cigarette butts and plastic wrappers. Traverse City, please respect your beach environments more and...
