Red Hair — Attraction in Champaign

On a whim I decided to come here for a cut. I'm so happy I did. I had a terrible cut before coming here at some high-end salon. I guess they didn't understand Indian hair. I waited for a while before getting my hair cut, but that could be due to the fact that I was a walk-in. I ended up getting my hair done by Jenny. She was AMAZING. I gave her vague directions to "trim my hair". I was so fed up with my hair because of the previous cut (supposed to be an A-line bob). I figured that no one else could make it worse.

Jenny gave me the cut of my dreams. Not only did she "trim my hair" but she gave me the original A-line bob I wanted without me specifically asking. I totally recommend Jenny if you ever want your hair cut. I've only been to her at Red Salon, and I will only see her from now on because she totally gets my hair. The price was completely reasonable for the quality...

I have been coming to this place for about 1.5 years, always a good experience. The only issue is that due to the pandemic one of the two stylists has left - my impression is that she went back to Korea for good and may not come back. So there is only one stylist here for quite some time, who has been working extra hard to keep up with customer demands, and it is difficult for me to make an appointment because they are always fully booked. If the pandemic has taught me anything, it is that the good things you have in life, don't take them for granted. I am happy Red Hair is still here today, and I will be missing it when either me or RH leaves...

I was a walk-in and was lucky to get seated pretty quickly even though there were two waiting there before me. I think I only waited 20 minutes. I just needed a quick cut because of an upcoming interview and all the more popular barbers like Leland's had like a 5 day wait. I showed them a picture of the cut I was growing towards and they customized it to my hair length, shape, density and I was amazed by how quick and accurate my hair-cutter was. She had a great understanding of shaping and maintaining hair for its continued growth....
