Update 7/7/2024 The maintenance here is really good. Maintenance requests are resolved quickly. The apartment complex is clean and the staff are great! Update 4/21/2024 The bowline is a nice place to live and it is a great area. The bar was set high when we first moved in and it is still a good place to live. I have nothing bad to say about the staff or building. Sometimes I think it’s a little uptight but that’s not as bad as issues I’ve had at other apartments. —— 8/2022 Overall great place to live. The amenities are wonderful and it feels like home. I especially love the kitchen and the coffee machine in the lobby. The apartment offers a lot of great amenities and great floor plans. When amenities have been broken (of no fault of their own) they have fixed them promptly. The building is clean, smells nice, and is relatively quiet. The maintenance has been wonderful Overall I would recommend living here. — Update 2/5/2023 This is still a good place to live. The location is good and the building is nice. However there have been some changes that have brought it down a little. The rent has gone up and the service and activities have gone down, such as no longer having football nights. There are still activities, they haven’t gotten rid of them completely. They got rid of Francisco who was exceptional, although the new cleaning people are not terrible, no one compares to Francisco’s service and the way the building used to smell clean and spotless. Our rent has gone up significantly and so have the amenity fees - even though some amenities - such as the scooters are no longer available. Overall this is a nice place to live, but with the increase in price and it not being as exceptional as when we originally moved in - It’s very very high rent and fees for what you get.

My wife and I had talked about moving to Champlin for a long time but didn't know where to land. Over the past year we met three residents of The Bowline and they made that decision very easy for us. All we have heard about from them was how nice the apartments and buildings are, all of the amenities and how nice the staff is. We took a tour 2 months ago and instantly fell in love. The apartment we chose is massive and has beautiful finishes. Floor to ceiling windows and a bathtub that two could fit into. I think the building was built with concrete and not wood framed because it is super quiet. We haven't used all of the buildings amenities yet but we are particularly excited to use the outdoor pool and home theater room at some point. The in building gym has been a life saver and love having the underground garage. It's also right on the river and next to the Champlin Event Center so this summer should be a blast. My wife had a fantastic time at a recent event the building had with wine and painting. The staff has been the best to work with. Katelyn walked us through the application and toured us twice. Leslie worked with us on the move in process. We needed a little help with how things worked around the apartment and Alex was there to help! Really enjoying our decision on living at The Bowline!

We’ve lived here for a few months now & cannot imagine leasing anywhere else! The complex is beautiful, modern, & affordable considering all the amenities included (and the fact that this place is brand new)! Our summer evenings are often spent enjoying the outdoor seating & fire area, riding the electric scooters, & enjoying the walking trails along the Mississippi that are close by. The staff (Team B) are extremely kind & personable as well. We appreciate all the time and effort they put into keeping the Bowline a fun community to live in!

From the beginning, my time at Bowline was full of issues. When I first arrived, Katelyn didn’t even welcome me, and the person showing me the apartment didn’t know how the key system worked or where my assigned parking spot was. Not a professional first impression.

There is also no guest parking available, which made it frustrating for anyone visiting me throughout my lease.

The only positive experience I had was with the maintenance team. They were always respectful, helpful, and quick to fix any issues. They were the only staff members who treated residents kindly.

At move-out, I cleaned my unit thoroughly and was told by staff during the final inspection that everything was ā€œperfect.ā€ Then out of nowhere, I was charged nearly $60 for supposed urine stains in the carpet; even though I never had a dog living with me, and the layout of my furniture made it impossible for anything (or anyone) to have access to those areas. The evidence they provided had no timestamps or valid documentation, and Home Line, a tenant advocacy group, confirmed that these photos would not be considered valid proof.

I asked for a mapped location of the so-called stains, and that was ignored. The communication was dismissive and defensive from management. It felt like they were just trying to keep part of my deposit by making false claims.

This place looks nice on the outside, but the experience is not worth it. I would not recommend...
