I came here with my family to try out and bring home groceries for Valentine's day Korean style dinner. First of all, I want to call out the 10 dollar coupon for first time app users is a bait and switch. There are signs all over the store promoting it, but no where it implies that the coupon can only be applied to delivery orders. During check out, as I presented the 10 dollar coupon the cashier tells me I can't use. She continues to reject without giving any reason or rationale. Then another cashier named Wenna states "no good in person". I tried to understand and as I attempt to read the apps fine print, I can tell both cashiers are growing impatient with me so I decide I'll just pay the balance without a coupon.
Next, as I proceed to make payment and the card reader takes my visa, the computer shuts down. I alert to both cashiers that the Chase app shows the balance I paid is processing, but Wenna expresses to me to wait until the computer boots up. It took more than 10 minutes for the computer to boot up as my hungry wife, daughter, and self tried to wait patiently. At this point I expect a receipt, but Wenna tells me to reinsert my card. I explain that I already paid based on the Chase app and she continues to insist. I express my concern and the risk of being charged twice. Wenna tried to assure me with her word and promises that I won't get double charged. I let her know that her word does not guarantee this potential outcome and if I get charged twice that I would be upset. Wenna continues to provide false hope, but I can tell my family is hungry and ready to go home so I insert my card. Low and behold two days later I see my card is charged twice.
Long story short, I received no apologies, no compensation for my time, and only lies. Now I have to take more time and energy to get reimbursed for the staff's mistake. Do not go here as it is evident that the staff is rude and has a poor practice in the process of business transactions.
Review updated since I was reimbursed and compensated for...

My wife and I visited 99 Ranch Chandler on 2/3 12:30 PM. Due to a medical condition I have, it is mandatory for me to have my service dog with me at all times. I understand that most places are not pet friendly, to cause the least amount of disturbance, I held my dog of 10lbs in my arm as and waited for my wife near the flower bouquet section at the front registers. At a secluded location where there’s no food around and minimal human traffic. Stood there I waited for my wife to quickly grab a couple things… After a couple minutes I was approached by a young Asian male staff, his demeanor is unfriendly and you can sense irritation. He asked me to leave the store and directly said my dog is not a service dog. I kindly responded “sorry my dog is a service dog, I have doctor letter with me if you’d like to see it”. He repeatedly said “Oh no no no, I don’t want to see it, you don’t have to show it to me and that is not a service dog” shocked by his response. I asked again if he would like to see my doctor letter and he refused again and threatens to call security. I responded “ok I will leave, but can I get your name?”. The young Asian man refuses to give me his name and walked away to the security at the door. In a short while, security approached and told me “sir, management has requested for you to leave”. I asked him why, was it because I have my service dog. He said yes, they don’t allow pets. I then told the security my dog is a certified service dog and told him that I have a medical condition that I need my dog with me. Security then left me alone as Me and my dog were not bothering anyone.
I have never had such a awkward and shocking experience where staff of a well known Asian market discriminates someone with a service dog. Extremely unprofessional and simply applied his own...
Read moreIt used to be a 5-star review UNTIL my visit in late April. I was buying fish at the seafood station, and only one staff there who walked as slow as possible and using a minute to change a glove. No line and no rule! When two more staffers joined to help, they didn’t even ask who are next but giving whoever they like to serve. When I asked them I have standing here for a long time and why don’t you ask who is next? And the male staff around 60-70 year old started questioning me for giving him hard time for his 1st minute job! I don’t want to swear but it’s my first time to interact with such unprofessional and rude staffer in any grocery store. And there was an Asian customer next to me calmed me down and told me they are always like this. You had to get used to it. Can’t believe a store would allow such employees morale and service like this low. It’s not just the rude senior staff, it’s the two staffers working in the seafood station reminds me how people hate their jobs! I gave one star to the cashiers. So many shoppings I had no problem with the cashiers. But one rude staff, I am done. And won’t recommend anyone to pay premium (overall pricy than other Asia markets) only because of the nice decor and layout. I really want to swear even as I am writing!
5-star Review before April 2024: Best Ranch 99 I’ve been to. I went to different Ranch 99 in Washington and California over the years. By far, the only one Ranch 99 in Arizona surprises me the most with its cleanliness and neatly layout.
There are plenty of parking during a busy weekend. The LED lighting makes the groceries look nicer. A lot of food options to have a quick dinning experience. The bakery offers many Asian-style breads, a great option for a creative breakfast experience to your...
