Lake Ann Park — Attraction in Chanhassen

Awesome park! Nice big, clean, main playground with 'rubber' ground for safety and cleanliness. There's also a second smaller one down the hill next to their beach. This park has everything- Beach, playgrounds (2), sports fields (softball/baseball, soccer, tennis court), pavilions, picnic & grilling areas/tables, docks, boat landing, fishing piers, hiking/walking trails, concessions, public indoor restrooms, paddle board, paddle boat, and canoe rentals, fun events, pet-friendly, and lots of parking! Occasionally they have lifeguards on duty during the summer. This also happens to be where Chanhassen's 4th of July fireworks are held....

I am so disappointed today in Lake Ann Park! I was so looking forward to renting paddle boards with my son and his girlfriend. We were there at 11 when the website says they open, and no one in site to open the rental office. So we went to the nice beach for a swim. Fairly clean, nice sandy beach. 2 lifegaurds came around 12, and when I asked one about paddle board rental he said they had nothing to do with that and didn't know why there were no signs or nothing on their website telling different hours or short staff or anything. They missed out of making money off of our rental fees today! Very poor...

beautiful views, nice areas to walk/hike the trails, go down to the beached area and stick your toea in the water.. several different options for shade/picnic areas .. public use coal burning grills (they're huge, too!) which is not something that many places have anymore but definitely nice to have! There's a playground.. wooded areas.. trail access... picnic areas..grassy fields.. tennis court..etc.. this place has it ALL!!! Another additional benefit is that from certain spots in the park you can actually see Princes Memorial site (that is goinng to eventually...
