I purchased an adjustable bed and mattress at the Chapel Hill store. I knew I was paying considerably more than purchasing online, but thought the service would be worth it. The sales person seemed knowledgeable. After I received the bed, I realized the bed was not blue tooth enabled, so I called the store to order a second remote (in case the one remote the bed came with broke or was lost). The store employees told me they could not order another remote and referred me to the adjustable bed company. The bed company referred me to the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me the remote (manufactured in China) was on at least a 2 month backorder. I asked Mattress Warehouse about their adjustable bed return policy and they said they do not accept adjustable bed returns. Next time, I'll skip going to a retailer and just buy online. The return policies are superior and the replacement parts are likely easier to get. Mattress Warehouse employees were responsive, but not effective. Since Mattress Factory's effective service is poor, might as well just buy online - less expensive and better...

While at first I felt I received wonderful attention from the sales associate, I later learned that he intentionally omitted important information about their "comfort exchange" policy in order to secure a sale. He also pressured me to post a glowing Google review on the spot, which I did before learning he had lied to me. Another sales associate later acknowledged I had been misinformed and the previous associate had been fired presumably for this and related behavior, but he and his manager refused to honor the deal their former associate had made with me. It required multiple calls to the manager, who eventually escalated it to their corporate office, all for a $100 discount that would have satisfied me immediately.
