I went in to order breakfast to go and there was a gentleman in front of me that was eventually seated and the guy that sat him didnt even come back to me to see if i was dining in or what. There was a girl that came up after about 10 minutes of standing there waiting and asked me "How Many" and I told her I wanted to place a order to go and she said I needed to wait in the checkout line (which by now had two checkouts waiting to pay and she went to cash them out instead of helping me) to put in my order which there was no signs as to order there or what to do in the first place as this was my first visit to this location. After a bit the girl did come back out from the back after she had a issue trying to get a customer checked out and couldn't get the gift card they were trying to use work and needed a managers help and stated she would take my order now after the manager came out to help them took my order and said she would allow me to pay without having to wait on people to cashout and asked me what I wanted which was outmeal and the muffin of the day to go. She came back with a reciept and not my order and stated I can pay at the register(which still had the 1st customer there that was still stuck there with the manager trying to pay since I walked in) or scan the QR code which wasnt the impression I got since she had talked to me knowing I was a little frustrated already since they started helping others checkout before they attempted to help me which I was there 10mins before they walked up in the first place I thought I should wait till my order came out before I was going to pay which was the best idea as there was no muffin in the bag(same girl brought out my food that took it btw) and she asked me if I had paid and I said no not yet and she proceded to go to ringe me up I told her there was no muffin in the bag that if I had paid that she would've let me walk out without it and she said " no I looked in the bag and I promise I wouldn't have let you walk out that they have it in the back in another bag I'll have to go get it that'll be $11 and some change" after she blatantly lied to my face I gave up on the food and said You know what You can keep it and left. Highly disappointed as I've been wanting to eat this for a while now since I have ate at the Raleigh location but here it just wasn't worth it after dealing with this nonsense. I'll give it another go as I don't like leave bad reviews without trying a second sometimes a third time so we'll see how it goes if I...
Read moreThis is a good place to go for breakfast food in either the morning or afternoon. It's only open for breakfast and lunch, closing around 4 PM, I belive. The menu is the same at all times. That menu leans heavily toward egg dishes and other breakfast-style foods. At lunchtime, it can get crowded and noisy. Prices are very reasonable, making it a favorite with students. The staff are friendly but when it gets really busy, the service can be slow. Also when it's really busy, any special requests (like having salad dressing on the side) may go unheeded as the kitchen staff struggles to keep up with orders. Wait staff are pretty much at a dead run when it gets busy. I suspect it's the same in the kitchen.
The food isn't particularly light. Most dishes end up being pretty high in fats. Even the salads pack a whopping number of calories, which are displayed on the menu. Sometimes, the calorie listing is for the main item, with optional sides adding in even more. It's not hard to get a whole day's worth of calories at a single meal here. But if you're very active, you may not mind that.
The ingredients are generally pretty good. The chicken in the salads appears to be sliced from a loaf rather than from a fresh-cooked chicken breast, but the vegetables in the salads and omlets have always been fresh.
I'm okay with egg dishes but they're not my favorite. I don't eat red meat, so the sausage and bacon sides aren't something I've tried. In short, my tastes aren't a great fit with their menu. Although this isn't my favorite place to eat, if you like breakfast food for lunch or are craving an omlet, aren't worried about the calories or fats, and you're on a budget, this really is a petty good choice. If 3.5 stars was an option, that's what I would...
Read moreFollowing a long morning of various appointments at the hospital, my husband and I came over to First Watch to get a meal and relax. Unfortunately, we had a less than ideal experience. When we arrived around 12ish, a large rush was just winding down and the restaurant was clearing out but most of the tables were still waiting to get cleaned. Our server was very friendly and took our drink order quickly and got them to the table. She took our orders and then my husband and I started chatting. About 40 minutes later, we had never been checked on and our food was still not out - we were starting to get really hungry. Finally, it came about 45 minutes later but it was wrong - my husband was given the wrong meal and I was missing a biscuit. She quickly took my husband's order back and said she would get the biscuit. I started eating and his correct meal came, but still no biscuit. I continued to eat, and she came back about 5 minutes later but still no biscuit. I continued to eat and she said the biscuit was on the grill and it would be ready soon. My omelette was basically gone at this point and she came back with some toast and informs us there's no biscuits. I am about done so I decline the toast. About 5 minutes or so later, she comes back with a biscuit but I'm already done with my food and the biscuit is burnt. Our water jug was never refilled this entire time even though we asked. By the end of the meal, we were just ready for the check to get on our way. This was probably just an off day, but I really was just...
