I just went 8/22/24 and it was a great spot. I am a single girl so I was a bit concerned about how safe I would feel walking in this park and how vast it was. To start it is a park that has 7 miles of walking paths. These paths are tucked in between little neighborhoods in the woods. The paths are well maintained and could easily be wheelchair accessible and stroller accessible. There are a few inclines here and there but mostly flat walking. I enjoyed that there was a lot of shade and beautiful scenery with the well made bridges and creek that runs along the trails. I will say that I think it is hard to keep up with where you’re at in the trail but most of the trail is straight with no turns so not too hard to navigate back. I do love that there was signal the whole time I was walking the trail and frequent access to neighborhoods if I felt uncomfortable I wasn’t without resources. I seen quite a lot of moms with babies and teenagers on the trails. For parking I would say it is not the best. The start of the greenway is at an elementary school. So if it is a school day and school hours the parking tremendously is more limited to one small section to about 10 parking spaces. On non school occasions I have been told you can use the elementary school parking as well. There is also a playground right at the beginning of the trail which is nice for kids. It has a structure, slide,...
Read moreReally enjoyed the trails, waterways and the beautiful scenery. My first time here but chatted with many who walk weekly who were more than willing to help with directions, info on the trail and take pictures for me. Take water & maybe a snack and be sure to use the restroom before arriving. There are no restrooms available. We spent an hour and a half in the trails walking a little over 4 miles. The temps were nice, there was a good breeze, limited flying insects, lots of different ants and many families walking. There was even a lost dog that me & my grandchildren returned home b/c of his name tag & owner phone number. Btw there are homes along the trail that are not separated by fence. Anyway we really enjoyed the walk & will...
Read moreGreat trail for walking/riding bike. My big gripe is all the people who walk their dogs off leash there. It’s incredibly dangerous when someone is going 17 mph on a bike and has to slam brakes to barely miss hitting the dog. The owners are oblivious and don’t even apologize. They treat it like it’s their own private park with no regard to anyone’s safety. Not to mention other dogs are often reactive with off leash dogs running up to them which will result in fighting or serious injuries from an altercation. I wish the police were enforcing and fining irresponsible and dim...
