TinTin firmly holds its place among Charlotte’s top contenders, not only for its exceptional fried rice and udon noodles but also for its delightful sushi offerings. No matter which combination you choose—be it the fried rice with chicken, steak, shrimp, vegetables, or any mix thereof—the quality remains consistently outstanding. The fried rice bursts with flavor, each grain imbued with the unmistakable essence of a well-seasoned wok, while the house udon noodles, cooked to perfection, deliver a beautifully balanced profile enhanced by just the right hint of onions and peppers.
Adding another dimension to its culinary repertoire, TinTin’s sushi deserves special mention. The sushi is a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and precision. Each roll and slice is a harmonious blend of fresh, delicate fish and perfectly seasoned rice, crafted with both artistry and attention to detail. The presentation is as refined as the taste—elevating traditional flavors with subtle modern twists that leave a memorable impression.
The restaurant’s crab rangoons are yet another highlight, arguably some of the best in Charlotte. Their crisp exterior and luscious, creamy filling pair flawlessly with a house-made sweet and sour sauce that masterfully balances tang and sweetness. However, despite these high points, the hibachi offerings fall a bit short in comparison; they often lack the bold flavors and finesse seen in the other dishes, playing second fiddle to the remarkable fried rice, noodles, and sushi.
Overall, TinTin’s diverse menu not only showcases its expertise in Asian fusion classics but also shines in its execution of sushi—a must-try for any discerning diner. Stop reading and place your order; your palate will be...
Read moreThe customer service for this place is horrible. We have tried to give them a second chance to no avail it does not seem to get better. Arrived during our lunch break only for the waitress to get orders but forget to place them. After 25 minute wait and asking to get order to go realized that order never was placed. How do you spend 30 minutes in an establishment and leave hungry.
Our team called from work to place to go orders for 3 lunch specials. When coworker arrives to pick up. Only allowed to leave with one. What in the world is the sense in that. Why did you take the order over the phone??? You want to reference a handwritten sign for a to go order?
CUSTOMER SERVICE is key in all business dealings and you lack this in every way. You want 3 different individuals to come away from a business office to pick up orders for a office just to appease your silly policy. Like I expressed to the "manager" if that was the policy why couldn't an exception be made for this ONE TIME due to the miscommunication on your part. . . Your employee answering the phone who is barely able to communicate but you want to uphold everything that you think she said in taking the order. . NONSENSE.
We work for a very busy medical office across the street and have sent many patients to your establishment. NEVER AGAIN
HOUSE OF LENG will get all our future...
Read moreFour of us sat within minutes of walking in. Busy for to go orders and booths wide open. Dim lighting sets an intimate mood for the restaurant.
Service was friendly and attentive. The menu is tailored to the non-sushi crowd. Other wise sushi is king here.
Prices are about the mid to high range. Average cost for sushi and non-sushi dishes are $11.
The family all got something different. Kids got noodles with ramen broth and tempora shrimp. I got steak and chicken hibachi with hibachi sauce and shrimp sauce. The wife got pineapple fried rice. It had curry in and she didn’t notice or complain ( she hates curry, lol).
The food was hot. Made to order. Packed with flavor. The kids loved the ramen. The bowls are massive. And the plates are loaded with food. You certainly get what you pay for; good quality and large portions.
The prices aren’t for the penny pincher, unless your going to share a plate. And you definitely could.
The staff was friendly and stuck around to have a nice conversation with us. The overall experience is 4.5 out of 5.
Why is it not getting the last .5? Well there is always room for improvement. While the service is great it was one person to the entire floor. As such it slowed the service down. It didn’t comprise the level of service. Just could have a few...
