I made reservations a month away to come to this place for a bachelorette party on a Saturday at 5:30. I confirmed my reservation on Thursday. We were all excited about going and had made dinner reservations close by. We live a hour away and planned to leave at 4 pm to have plenty of time to get there. Until I received an automotive text message at 2:53pm saying my reservation had been canceled. I immediately tried to call them with no answer at both phone numbers. I left a message and continued to call with no answer. Now Iâm in a panic to figure out a backup plan but was still hoping it was an error. I finally was able to get somebody to answer at 3:23pm. The man I talked to was very put out and did not seem to care that he had ruined our bachelorette party. His response was that he had âran out of product and my truck didnât showâ. He wanted us to reschedule our party and said âwell if I donât have any product there is nothing you can do hereâ. He told me âI canât help it besides I have 13 other parties I have to cancelâ. What type of smash business schedules too many parties and doesnât have enough product after confirming a reservation 2 days ahead. But I would never recommend them to anybody and unfortunately I had talked them up to a lot of people who were interested in coming but unfortunately I will not be able to give them a good review or talk highly of them. My suggestion is that if you do take a chance with making a reservation here be sure and have a...
Read moreI found House of Purge and thought it would be a fun, unique idea for Valentineâs Day. Their website even features a news interview highlighting how safe and well-run the place is, showing the full protective gear providedâgoggles, face visors, gloves, and full-body suits.
However, our experience was far from that. We booked an 8:30 PM session (they close at 10) and arrived expecting to gear up. Instead, we walked in to find only a face visor and gloves laid out on a bench. The staff member seemed tired and uninterested, rushing through the rules in a small enclosed space. When I asked about the protective suits shown on their website, he casually said, âNo, but I could get you a jacketâŚââdefinitely not the level of safety we expected.
The gloves provided were way too big, making the latex ones underneath useless. A large fan blew glass particles into our lungs and eyes, and by the end, our shoes were full of shattered glass. The next morning, even after showering, I was still finding glass in my hair.
For the price, this experience just doesnât make sense. Itâs unsafe and not worth itâsave yourself the trouble and drive a little farther outside Charlotte to find...
Read moreWas an ok experience. For a two person package, it was about 90$. Has a cool post it note wall of why people were there. Was given 17 breakables per person and a car to beat on. And a couple of printers. You are only given 30 min, which is more than enough time. However, the lights in the area make it hard to see what you're doing mainly because the face shields have scratches and scuffs that just make it blurry to see with the low lighting. Don't get your hopes up about smashing up a car. The one we had was completely beat down to the point you will not being doing much of anything other then beating into a already completely trashed vehicle. Smashing the printers were pretty fun and the glass bottles. Was a hour n 20 min trip for us for a 'ok' 30 min experience. Then a hour n 20 min drive home. Also, it wouldn't hurt to clean up the waiting area and the bathroom. It was fun, but will probably try out a different rage room in the future. However, if you plan to exert some negativity in a physical manner, this will help without worry of possibly...
