Club Royale — Restaurant in Charlotte

My experience pissed me off. Greg the owner is awsome and Buzz cook some mean wings but that 4 ft 650 lb looking security guy and his side kick need some training. They will make the thugs go off. Went out to celebrate birthday and had to stand in line due to sound problems. No pleasant explanation and aggravated when we ask questions. Was fixin to leave but others said stay. We stayed and made the best of it. I have done inside sales and customer service professionally for over 30 years and i hate bad customer service. I had my 40th birthday right when it was Savoy and it boomed. Waitress talking and giving away drinks and me a paying customer that was waiting to order. By the way. I have worked at several bars and know the ropes. This is not made up. I told fat sam and Barney at the door social media can be hell. Greg clean them up. Also the phone number is wrong on page. We were told to leave vip that we didnt know we were in. Never asked if we wanted it. For my birthday we would have paid. We came back with drinks and group had moved. My Friend & I ( both from OOT) came on a summer Saturday night around 12. The parking lot was pretty filled though there wasn't a long wait in the line as we entered. It was $10 for women $25 for men. The dress code seemed pretty laid back for both and the vibe of the inside matched perfectly to the club we were looking for. The crowd grew even more as the night went on. It was a mixed crowd of ages(30s & 40s) of varied ethnicity. The DJ was on point with the music playing all types of generes. My fav was all the down south rap music. The bartenders made really good drinks, did their jobs well and were pleasant during each visit to the bar. There's a cameraman to take photos for purchase. There was a room with a pole and mirrors that led to an outside patio with a DJ. The bathrooms were decent and never ran out if tissue and paper towels. They don't offer hookah. I had a ball.. I drove by 3 other clubs before I decided on going in this one.. I didn't feel like being around a boring older crowd or a crowd that was way too bougie. (another day for that).. I wanted to be around down to earth ppl where I could enjoy my self.. And guess what ppl.. I did just that.. The drinks were good and reasonable.. I found myself dancing almost the whole night and that's not me.. There was FREE parking and the Chicken Wangs was SWANGIN!! I went by myself and met a new friend in the parking lot prior to entering.. We partied until closing time like we were bff's.. I would definitely go again.. It's grown and stilghtly hood.. I call it grood. Similar to a amvets or American legion where you are from.. No super old men like pop the player.. 25 and up.. Its worth it and cover was only $10.. $50 and you can pretty much ball all night... It was some sporty fellas and nice looking chicks in there.. Go see...
