Laid back small park area with a nice walking trail and nice field to play sports or games. Plenty of picnic tables to accommodate your visit. My favorite thing about this park is the kids splash pad area! It is my daughter’s favorite summer activity. They do have bathrooms however the homeless has taken over the place and it’s now very nasty and non supervised ! I wouldn’t recommend allowing your kids to go to the restroom without a parent (“opposite sex has been found hiding in the bathrooms numerous of times”) also bathrooms are not cleaned by park staff. But they do have a panthers workout area with I live personally because I can do my yoga in peace and the kids love competing on the working equipment attached. They have good condition tennis courts if you’re into having some fun while getting a nice workout. The area overall is nice and surrounded by mainly good...

Wonderful family fun park. Fun in the sun or plenty shaded spots. Indoor air conditioned section w/ freezer. My church has rented many times for our annual summer get together. Great lil kids park and water sprinklers; picnic tables, lots of well kept grass for on the ground picnics and hilly enough for kids to have a ball rolling around, basketball court, grills, plenty of parking, large tennis courts and athletic field. Clean ladies room. Lots of mostly friendly folks walking their dogs. Unfortunately the dog water fountain runs right into the grass....therefore a messy mud puddle accumulates. It needs like a concrete or plastic flooring under the faucets so your dogs feet dont get muddied up. But quality poop bags always available. Would be greatest idea if a section was made available as a dog park. Seems some hv had problems with others taking their...

I’ve been taking my son to this park for over 2 years but it’s become increasingly hard to enjoy it. Dog poop EVERYWHERE! You can’t even play in the grass for soccer or anything because there is dog poop all over the place. Sidewalks and grass. It’s turned into one giant DOG PARK! Dogs of all sizes running around off leashes. It’s insane. There needs to be better signage for keeping dogs OFF the fields and there needs to be penalties for folks on the field with their pets and off leashes. Children can’t even enjoy the park. I can’t enjoy a walk for fear of someone’s dog possibly attacking me. Dogs on TOP of picnic tables where people EAT. Ugh. Fair warning, I am not responsible for what happens to your dog if it approaches me while off the leash! My ONLY warning. Mecklenburg Parks and Recs, PLEASE...

I love taken my children to this park. It is one of the most diverse parks in Charlotte. Everyone is welcome no matter gender, race, age... the list goes on. You can Meet up with groups to play tennis, softball, basketball, or stroll around the neighborhood to enjoy the scenery. There a 2 playgrounds for children to play on, picnic tables, pulic restrooms and and it's a dog friendly area as well. Wait I don't want to forget the new addition; a outdoor obstacle course that is loads of fun for family and friends.
