Whiskey Warehouse was our first stop in Charlotte after leaving Charleston this morning. One of the reasons why Kate chose Whiskey Warehouse was because of the rooftop bar. However, when we arrived at 1130, the rooftop bar at Whiskey Warehouse was not opened. Sad but we were still able to enjoy the cozy atmosphere within, along with some pretty affordable daily specials…
Located at Plaza Midwood in Charlotte, Whiskey Warehouse is known for its whiskey selection – both neat or via one of its beautifully crafted cocktails. The other highlight is of course its second-floor patio where you can get some expansive views of the area and enjoy the fairy lights (aka string lights) in the evenings as well.
Upon entry, we felt a nice homey feeling and the super friendly staff led us to our table. We had the booth seats with comfy sofa seats. From the looks of it, leather. There were also ALOT of screens strewn throughout the restaurant/sports bar which was showing previews of the Super Bowl when we arrived. So no matter which seat you’re at in Whiskey Warehouse, there’s always a screen right in front or to the side of you. Perfect for those game nights!
While scanning through the menu, we noticed a section known as “Daily Specials” at Whiskey Warehouse with deals as follows:
Monday $4 Samuel Adams Seasonal $5 George Dickel Lemonade
Tuesday $3.50 Michelob Ultra Bottle $7 Specialty Cocktails
Wednesday $4 Drafts $3 Sparkling Rose
Thursday Half-price glasses & bottles of wine $4 Truly & Whiteclaw
Friday $5 Wells $4 Corona & Corona Light
Saturday $3 Mimosas $3 Miller Lite Bottles $5 Bloody Marys
Sunday $3 Mimosas $3 Bud Light Bottles $5 Bloody Marys
The prices were actually pretty attractive. As in each day, there would be something that you can order for drinks, throughout the day, for a discounted price. That’s rather cool as compared to the Singapore scene where there would be a drinks or food deal only; or that there would be a time limit (perhaps till 8pm) on the deals. As we were here on a Monday, we decided to try out the $4 Samuel Adams Seasonal. Along with the beer, we also tried out the Bourbon Smash ($12)…

Read moreWhiskey Warehouse (WW) is centrally located in the nucleus of Plaza Midwood across the street from Harris Teeter, beside Thomas Street Tavern, Common Market, and Giddy Goat Coffee shop. We went to WW this past Saturday, 10/30/21, because my friends wanted to adamantly go there. Whiskey Warehouse has both a downstairs AND rooftop bar; which identically have a comprehensive and complete bar with a cornucopia of spirits and laundry list of lagers on tap. The downstairs area has tons of seating ranging from in the wall bench seating, tables in the middle, and a curved 'L-ish' shaped bar with seating wrapped around it. The kitchen is located downstairs as well.
In order to get to the skyline views upstairs, there is a two-flight stair case located to your immediate right when you walk in through the side entrance. I don't think they are handicap accessible, which literally sucks for anyone bound to a wheelchair, no legs, on crutches (that may work if you hop), or acutely older (the elderly). They should definitely get that fixed so everyone and anyone can enjoy their rooftop. The upstairs contains plenty of seating, both high- and low-top seating plus bar seating. The food is basic bar food to, but this is what my friends and I had when we were there (see below and the photos): TURKEY BACON AVOCADO $12.00 swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pub sauce TEX MEX BURGER* $12.00 guacamole, applewood smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, chipotle ranch, lettuce, tomato, onion Whiskey Warehouse has $5 Whiskeys every day (if I am not mistaken), so if you're a brown liquor drinker, this place is for you. The service is usually pretty good so I have no complaints there. When my friend ordered tequila shots (chilled) for our big group, they were pretty quick and nimble providing them for us. All in all, I will undoubtedly return to Whiskey Warehouse and recommend it to you, my family, and friends.
Cheers MATE$! ...:::...

A waiter greeted us placing napkins and silverware on the table. About five minutes went by and no one showed up , so I went to the restroom. Once I came back out, my husband informed me no one has came to the table to even ask what we would like to drink.
At this point we’ve been here for about 10 minutes and it was far from busy. I was ready to go. Once a waitress approached us, apologizing for the wait, informing us that she thought another waiteress was going to tend to us. No big deal things happen. She took our order along with what we wanted to drink at this point.
A generous amount of time had passed, and I noticed what appeared to be our food sitting on the counter. I let 10 minutes go by before getting up and asking the gentleman behind the bar was that the meal we had ordered? He verify that it was. I asked him could I take it to the table ( because I haven’t seen our server since she took our order). He brought it over and advised we were waiting because the coleslaw wasn’t ready. Our food was cold either way.
By time the server appeared back on the floor , she didn’t come to the table even once to ask if everything was alright. I didn’t feel like getting up again to ask for our check, so I asked the greeter for the manager. The greeter advised our waitress would be way more helpful then the manger.
My request for a manger was basically denied. We saw our waitress when it was time to pay...
