Olde Charlotte Barbershop — Local services in Charlotte

My barber retired back in May and I came across the Olde Charlotte Barbershop after seeing it pop up in reviews and forums. The prices looked good and the reviews were great, so I decided to give it a shot. Making an appointment was a breeze. I went in and it was exactly what you'd expect from a local spot. Every chair was full, everyone was friendly, and every person that walked in was greeted by name like they all went way back. Braveheart was playing on the TV (somehow one barber had never seen it) and it just felt like a spot to hang out as much as get a haircut. My appointment was with Zach, and he was excellent. I didn't have much of a plan for what I wanted, so I let him go to town. Easily one of the best haircuts I've had! Zach really took his time and got me looking great. The beard trim was fantastic too. Nothing like a straight razor to clean you up right. If I had any complaints, it was that the hot towel was over too quick! I would have taken a nice nap during that haha. I will definitely be back and can't wait to get...

As someone who's new to Charlotte, this is the 4th place I have tried, and finally, will be the last. They have earned my repeat business. I see Lee Milsaps, and he does a great job with my hair. He's a chill dude, and the vibe of the shop is chill and laid back in a way that I like. Some of the other shops I've tried in Charlotte were not this way. One featured barbers being openly homophobic, which coming from the north part of the country, I've never seen so openly, so that was lame, and another shop I tried had a very "bro" vibe, with dudes who were real into lifting and oneupsmanship with each other. Not a great vibe.

It's one of a kind barber shop, I'm not going to go through all the details, but it's a great barber shop, driving by I just had to stop in, the guy asked me do you have an appointment I said no I thought perhaps you know it was an old-fashioned barber shop it's been in business 65 + years so I thought I can just go in and sit and be call next but it didn't work that away so I said sorry about that so one of the barber said it's okay I'll work you in his name is Justin. He made me feel right at home so did the others.
