First time lunch here, apparently it took us 3 years to notice it. I applaud them for having a full lunch menu with options. Seems like most of the winery lunches now revolve around charcuterie platters, ahi tuna and pizza. Disappointing to me, but easy for them. Lunch today was a French dip with hand cut fries. The sandwich was very flavorful as well as the au jus. The fries were delicious, just like homemade. Seating all outside, but covered umbrellas and a beautiful view of the lake. Service was excellent. I would have rated them 5 stars but our sandwiches and au jus were cold. There was only one other table of 4 at the restaurant when we ordered. Not sure why it sat so long. We will be back.

July, 2023. A year later we tried again. Unfortunately we were disappointed again. My main complaint was our food, burgers and fries were cold again. Cold and very dry burger and mahogany colored overcooked fries, also cold. I don’t get it, there is so much potential. Our server was a one man show, answering the phone, seating people, taking orders, clearing tables and taking payment. I have to assume our food was just sitting because he was too busy. There were other employees that I would think would see our food sitting and bring it out.

April 2024. Tried again but this time we were able to sit inside so assumed food would be hot. I once again ordered the burger and fries. I ordered the burger medium, it was a dry hockey puck. Fries were delicious. So many reviews state their food and burgers particularly were very good. It’s just not meant to be for us I...

I’d leave 0/5 stars if possible. My wife and I were visiting Chelan for the first time and thought we’d grab some lunch and some wine at this winery after reading pretty good reviews. Well we showed up to the winery and they told us that we weren’t allowed to do a wine taste and get food at a table so they had us sit in a separate area to taste some wines. While we were sitting in that area all of the lunch tables filled up and we watched everyone else at all of the other tables being brought wine tasters. Then when we were ready to be sat at a table we were told we had to wait for an available table. (We arrived 45 minutes before all of the other groups that were allowed to do wine tastings at their table mind you). Not being from the area we wanted to sample some wines before we bought a bottle but apparently this wasn’t allowed at a lunch table but this was allowed for the other groups seated at tables. The “bartender” also was not knowledgeable about this winery’s wines and the hostess with the pixie cut was not welcoming or friendly. Alas, after picking this winery over all the others we left disappointed and hungry. Do not come here if you aren’t a local, maybe that’s how you get a taster at your table or the hostess to explain how things work? Definitely go to other wineries in the area. As an update, we went to Siren Song for food and wine, were allowed our wine taster with food and the atmosphere was amazing, if you’re from out of town and looking for good food/wines/view siren song...

High rating is because of the service we received, not necessarily the food!

My husband and I showed up to Vin Du Lac an hour before they closed, the hostess was VERY nice and even though their waitlist was full she got us on the list and just informed us it would be a bit of a wait. It worked out nicely as we were able to order drinks, appetizers, and listened to the live music so the time went by fast. The drinks were great and the appetizers were super tasty. We were then seated and we both already knew we wanted the steak which was $70/piece. We asked for medium rare, and medium, and they both came out very well done to the point where we couldn’t really even eat it. This is fine if I’m not paying much but for a $70 steak that shouldn't be happening. We brought it up to the waiter and he was so insanely nice and offered to get us new one, but we had already been waiting a hour and it was getting late so we just wanted to go home. He apologized and took the cost of the steaks off our bill, then the manager came over and apologized, and as we left each waiter/host that we passed by apologized. When we closed our tab at the bar they all apologized too and asked for another chance for our business again soon. The whole thing could’ve gone sideways based on the service, but they were so incredibly apologetic and genuinely cared about our experience that we are giving them 4 stars. We would definitely return to try again because of the service we received...

Came here on March 03, 2024, for a ‘Sunday Farmhouse Community Supper.’ Maybe it was just our naivety, but we were expecting a, well, farmhouse or barn. Instead, we dined in a formerly open patio terrace that was enclosed with unfinished sheets of plywood and plastic sheeting. Since it was off-season, there was just the two of us and a party of 5 that sat on the other side of the room. The food was brought out course-by- course and was presented by a chef who explained all the items to us. I guess this was Southern Night, and although one item on the menu said ‘spicy pickled vegetables’ we did not expect everything to be spicy. Normally I do not do spicy, but got through it and enjoyed a new experience. There was so much food. I think they gave the two of us servings for four, which was nice since the meals were $40 each. We looked forward to having left-overs, but ... Come to find out, the staff combined our left-overs with the other party’s left-overs. I am not about to take that home. Sadly, so much food went to waste. The staff was really nice. GPS directions take you down the wrong road. In fact, a neighbor has a sign posted on the street that says, “Your GPS is wrong. Turn around and go back.” Maybe, hopefully, with time they will work the bugs out of their program.

This place was very close to our airbnb so we decided to walk here. It was a little hard to find since the google maps instructions for walking are incorrect, but we followed the sign boards to reach here. What a lovely place! We had a great experience here. The place was cozy, they had a heated patio with social distancing and they even provided blankets for the extra cozy factor. The food was good too, we got the charcuterie board and tatchos (tater tots prepared as loaded nachos), both were good. We sampled some great wine here but fell in love with the hot spiced wine here. They were very dog friendly too.
