I held my son's 9th birthday here on Easter Sunday and it was a really wonderful time. I rented the pavilion for a few hours, and had no issues at all with that. It's a very friendly, and relatively well-kept park. The bathroom was closed which was a bit inconvenient (the fact that it was listed online as 'open in April' is one of the reasons I went with this park) but that'd be my only complaint. They even have an area where you can work out which is an awesome way to encourage fitness. We walked down to the pond area and saw the geese. From here, you can wind your way through Penny Pack, Cooper River and Park all the way to the Ben Franklin Bridge (A must do on either Bike or Foot) and only be on the actual street for less then 1/4 of a mile!
