From start to finish - this was a spectacular experience! A+++ Kudos to the Chef!
There is free valet parking available at this location. As soon as you arrive, you're made to felt bougie!
Eating in a dining room of a house, this meal was magnificent! BYOB - we brought wine & Amici's provided a wine chiller. Also, there is a GORGEOUS outdoor patio. In the winter months, the outdoor patio is enclosed with heat lamps.
We started with one of the appetizer specials. The tuna tartar & avocado salad. It was absolutely delicious. Fresh, light and served with lettuce cups and garlic bread - it was so so so good. Highly recommend.
There is a pre-fix menu offered - you can choose an app, a dinner & a dessert for $48. I decided to do this & it was a LOT of food. There are quite a few choices to choose from on the pre-fix menu.
To start, I opted for the Eggplant Rollatini. PERFECTION! Honestly, this was one of the best eggplant rollatini's I've had. It was baked flawlessly. For my dinner entree, I ordered the homemade pasta & sauce - Pallardelle Bolognese. This restaurant makes homemade pasta! Not all of their pasta is homemade, but their ravioli is made in house and so is the Pallardelle. The Bolognese is also homemade family recipe & that is why I chose the pasta meal. It did NOT disappoint. Pasta was cooked a la dente (SUPERUB) and the sauce was so delicious - pure comfort food. The meal was so big, I packed up my leftovers (and the leftovers were just as delicious - warmed the pasta up in a pan with a little water & steamed the dish. It tasted like it did when it was brought to the table).
My sister chose the Chicken Amici (chicken topped with crab, shrimp with a wine lemon sauce). That meal was also sublime! The plate was colorful, with vegetables and potatoes. Chicken was tender, sauce was so light and NOT salty (which we appreciated). She also had leftovers & the leftovers (Chicken & veggies) were super tasty warmed up for lunch the next day.
My birthday boy had chicken fingers & fries. For a kid who wasn't hungry when we ordered, so he said, he ate up his entire meal. 4 big chicken fingers - southern style fried - he clearly enjoyed them.
We hardly saved room for dessert -but you bet we ordered it anyway! The birthday boy ordered Chocolate Gelato which was so chocolatey - he loved it. It tasted like fudge - it was so rich & the boys favorite! Amici's is kind to bring a slice of tiramisu with a birthday candle ready to be wished upon! Such a sweet touch to the meal. The staff sang happy birthday & the restuarant cheered! There is a choice of 3 desserts on the pre-fix menu and I decided for the tiramisu. light, delicate and delectable. We also ordered the creme Brule. The creme Brule was delicious and actually made perfectly. I keep saying that, the food is perfect - but the preparation and presentation of the food was ON POINT throughout the entire meal. The food was cooked / baked perfectly. I haven't had a meal like this, perfect from start to finish, in a very long time. Amici's did NOT let us down.
It is extremely hard to find an eatery that does not have a TV blaring in your face, news or sports, and we get enough of the tv at home. We make it a point to find eateries without televisions so that we can truly enjoy a meal without the stress of the outside world. I promise, you will find that reserve here. Allow your senses to be heightened when you visit Amici's.
Yes, we recommend. Yes, we are real customers who really did masticate at Amici's and we would do it again and again. We recommend you masticate at...
Read moreAfter passing this restaurant various times I decided to try. I was real hesitant to do a take out order because normally upscale Italian food doesn’t transport well unless the food is spectacular.
My first impression was wow my food is $60 to take out I order Chicken Parm and Chicken Alfredo. That’s all and it was $60. Okay so now I’m at this beautiful location checking it out and the host hands me a bag now first off why is my food in a plastic thank you come again bag. Presentation is everything to me so I automatically knew my food was going to be not good. Get home open my food it’s in a cheap tin container with the cardboard lid which means my food is not breathing it would be soggy.
My husband had the chicken parm he said it was okay but obviously not good enough to eat the whole thing. The pasta was super dry, sauce was tasteless, and the chicken was soooo thin he was cutting it with a fork.
Now my food I like food with a taste. Was I beyond disappointed in my food. It just looked different then what I expected honestly I thought it would be saucy with grill or sautéed chicken omg mouth was watering for it. Opened it up and wth is this. I’m guessing they make their own pasta because it was yellow the sauce was dried up and had nooooo taste at all. OMG for this to be a fancy restaurant one thing you don’t give your guest after spending $30 on a plate is boil chicken. Yes boiled chicken. I was just beyond upset with my food I really wanted my $60 back but I was force to eat because everything was closing.
With that being said I have to add seasoning take the chicken out and sauté the chicken myself. For all of that I could of cooked at home for $60.00 and be way more satisfied because those two are my favorite dishes.
No I will not return. Presentation in the plastic bag, tin container with the cardboard cover, tasteless food and spent $60. Done!!! But the host and valet service were very welcoming that’s why I gave it a two star for the...
Read moreMy family and I have been here 3 times. 1 being an event of 30 we booked. I’ll just list everything that went wrong with the last two experiences. Food was good the first second time hence our 3rd return.
Everyone got soup and salad they forgot 1 persons, it came out 10 minutes later after everyone already finished. The Italian wedding soup was not authentic in a tomato vegetable broth with a meatball.
We ordered calamari that tasted like rubber.
3 The shrimp in my dinner was not cooked they took it back to correct it however it tasted chewy and undercooked..ruined my appetite. I’m sick to my stomach today eating one.
There are no changing tables in the restrooms. They had a crowd with a number of young children last night. Very inconvenient for a restaurant to take your family to when it’s really needed.
The coffee tasted like old muddy water. They brewed a fresh pot but they just had terrible coffee for an Italian restaurant.
They had the restaurant 77 degrees it was hot and uncomfortable we were sweating. Also a problem when I had the party upstair end of may.
We were celebrating a birthday last night and brought a cake. The waiter brought over their desserts and we tried pointing out discreetly we had a cake and he was not getting the hint which ruined the surprise.
I was holding my baby and the waiters walking by kept bumping into my chair up against the back of my head. Really annoying and of course didn’t apologize. I got up a number of times holding my baby it was getting on my nerves.
For my big party during the ceremony the waiters were trying to come in and serve appetizers while we were in the middle of the religious service. We said something of course but still it wasn’t nice.
Last but not least my mom kindly asked the alcohol be chilled at my event they did it in the middle of the party very delayed...
