To start off with I had never heard of this store but I just wandered in. Turns out I am right within Dillard's target age at 29 years old. I didn't love all the suggestive picture advertising at the front of the store. But once I got past that, I was greeted in a friendly manner by a professional looking sales clerk... I asked if there were any discounts in the mens department. He told me they were picked over and he would probably lose me but I was free to check. After looking around it seemed like he was right. Then I found the shoes. There were Eccos, and Flag Ltd (which I had never heard of) on sale. A lady in the shoe department greeted me and I started trying on shoes. She noticed that a pair of Eccos I tried on was too big ); but I was impressed by her knowledge because she noticed that just by seeing me walk in them. I tried on a pair of Flag Ltds which were beautiful. I had already bought a pair of Florsheims at Rack Room next door but I went and returned them and bought the Flags, which were half the price of the Florsheims. There was a checkout station right near the shoes and it was fast, and she gave me some nice cloth shoe bags to carry my shoes in for traveling. I loved my...
Read moreI never post reviews but I had to after my excellent experience with Rain who helped me in shoes over the holidays. Rain was so very kind and helpful. I had a holiday dinner I was preparing for. Rain asked all the right questions and paired my dress perfectly without me having it with me. I’m not the one to buy anything other than what I came for but while with Rain I felt I was with my best friend out shopping and ended up purchasing 3 pair lol!! and I don’t regret it one bit! I do have to mention there was another lady working there whom I have encountered in a previous visit by the name of Rita who was not being so nice to Rain as she was helping me. She was speaking really rudely to Rain and just very unkind to her with her demeanor and facial expressions towards Rain. It was as if she didn’t care that I or any other customers were right there. That hurt my heart to see. But Rain just continued to help me and another customer with a smile. Rain is truly a ray of sunshine and great energy. Keep shining Rain!! Thank you so much for your help and being there!! I don’t think I would have bought without your help! And I hope to see you there again for my...
Read moreI recently bought an outfit (blazer, shirt, and slacks) for an interview, and after putting it on before leaving the house, I decided I was not too fond of the way it fit or looked, so I took it off and put it back on the hangers and in the bag. When I returned it the following day, the gentleman who helped me with my purchase took everything out and inspected it. He held the slacks by the cuffs and eye-sighted the legs, looking at the shirt's neckline. You would have thought it was a $1000 outfit the way he looked everything over (by the way, the slacks were $45, the shirt was about $50, and the blazer was $85). After putting on a show for everyone around, I finally told him there wasn't any need for the dramatics. If he can't return it, say so, and he did. I have never been denied a return for putting something on, but I guess he was doing his job and following Dillard's protocol. I hope that when the Greenbrier Mall is sold to a developer, and they close the store down, they look out for him the way he did for them, but I doubt it. Good luck...
