If I could give more than 5 stars I absolutely would! The employees are unbelievably phenomenal, and the sales and service are also unrivaled. They're so genuine, personable, patient, and understanding. They stand strongly behind their quality and customer satisfaction. My experiences with them have been truly incredible, so much so, that I went from never wearing jewelry because of the prospect of dealing with intimidating jewelry salespeople, to coming back a year later excited to pick out an anniversary necklace.
My husband and I are both public service and I have a very simple/relaxed style both in and outside of work. About a year and a half ago my (then) bf and I went to a couple shops to look at engagement and wedding rings, and I was not a jewelry person, so the process was very overwhelming. While the other shops were very kind, we still were left with so much unease because we either felt like we were being subtly pressured to go with a larger, flashier, and/or higher quality than was within our budget, or we were being constantly reminded of what's trending right now, making us second guess some of the styles we liked that I guess were not aligned with the current trend.
THEN, we went to Segal and Co, where I immediately fell in love with this wedding band and the experience working with Cheni was unlike we'd experienced, or ever heard of from our friends who regularly buy jewelry. She worked tirelessly with me to find and eventually customize an engagement ring setting that perfectly flowed with the unique wedding band I picked out, never once mentioning where it fell with "what's trending". She did all this while ensuring we stayed comfortably within our budget. But more importantly, I had initially thought I wanted a larger size solitaire, but when I was trying some on, she picked up on my hesitations about it being too big for finger (I'm very petite with small fingers) and without even being asked or prompted, she suggested I look at smaller diamonds to see if I'd like a smaller size and she was so right. The smaller diamond fit my finger so much better, still being everything I wanted. I can't express how much her patience and genuine commitment to me leaving with something that I loved unconditionally, that was fitting to me. Not to mention my husband loved her recommendation to go down in size. She also could tell I didn't love any of the settings I had tried on and knew exactly why, and suggested we customize a band to flow with the wedding band. At first that sounded out of our budget, but not once did Cheni ever suggest anything outside of our budget. It was an incredible experience to be able to walk away with exactly what I wanted and all the while having full transparency about the budget and no concern about the end result being too expensive.
Like I said, the experience was so incredible, this year I went back to pick out a necklace for our anniversary, a gift from a far, as my husband is currently deployed. Myra, not even knowing our budget, worked tirelessly with me to find the perfect necklace at the lowest cost and again, with no pressure at all to get something bigger or flashier. I also had to get an adjustment on my engagement ring, and knowing I had emotional reservations with not having my ring with my husband deployed, she rushed the order without my knowledge.
Segal & Co. are absolutely dedicated to customer satisfaction in their service and impeccable quality. Working with them never feels like it's about the sale. Like I said, I wish I could give them more...
Read moreI visited them 3-4 day before Christmas to look at the gems to add to some gifts for my wife. The owner showed me the gems and after looking at them, I told him I will be returning in a few days. The reason I didn’t purchase at that particular moment was because I was shopping around for the best looking ones. I returned as promised either on Christmas Eve or the day before because I made my decision that I will be purchasing from them. I had money in hand and only went to the mall with the sole intent to purchase gems from them, then go straight home! I allowed my wife to come with me to pick the exact ones she wanted and I was going to add them to a gift she knew nothing about. But when I got there the owner and a African American lady were helping two customers and she told me she would be right with me. I said okay. So we took a seat by the gems and looked through the glass and my wife told me which ones she wanted. So about 10-15 minutes, which was fine with me, the lady walked away from the customer she was with and asked how can she help and I told her I would like to purchase some gym she got rude with us a said “we not selling gems right now due to the holiday season” and I replied “what do you mean your so selling them right to Im here and ready to purchase” so then the owner walks up( mind you both their customers that they were so focused on didn’t purchase anything and left) but once the owner walk up I asked “ do you remember me, I was here a few days ago looking at gems”, “I’m ready to purchase now” he said “Yes I do remember you but we aren’t selling gems right now due to the busy season we are only selling diamonds ect” -_- .. (Long story short) That put a bad taste in my mouth with this company and I would never buy from them even if they sold gold for $20 oz … I had MONEY IN HAND AND THEY BRUSHED ME OFF BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT DIAMONDS AT THE TIME AND WOULDN’T SELL TO ME?!? So we went to their competition around the corner and brought from them that same day and walked right pass the with our bag full of gems and went home mind you they tried to talk to us on the way out from getting our gems at another store COMPLETELY IGNORED THEM !!!
I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THEM
ALSO BTW I UPGRADED MY WIFE WHITE GOLD DIAMOND RING SINCE THEN AND BROUGHT HER A NEW BAND AND A BIGGER DIAMOND RING SINCE THEN. Hallelujah!!!...
Read moreBeware of this place. Especially for any repairs or changes to your jewelry. I was quoted a price by (I believe the owner) to have my ring specifically look a certain way. He said that they could do it for $400. When I went back to go ahead with the work, the associate called the same guy. Who said that he told me $450! That was the first red flag! When I dropped the ring off for the work, the associate told me that I had to “pay for the work now”. So I did. That was the 2nd red flag. I paid before seeing the final product! When I picked up my ring, it was not how I specifically described it, as well as showed a picture of what I wanted. The guy argued with me and said that what I wanted “couldn’t be done”…But then changed it to, “it’s going to cost you more money”! I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company, but because I paid for the work ahead of time and signed the credit card slip, it couldn’t be disputed. I took my ring to Mr. Jewlery and they did an amazing job for a total of $300!!! So not only did Segal rip me off on the work, they also did not do it correctly! Which ended up costing me $700! Highly recommend staying AWAY from this place! You have been warned. Below pictures show rings sitting in box (at Segals) of exactly how I wanted it. Picture 2 is of the work that Segal did. You can see the “band” covering the diamond engagement ring. This was unacceptable! Picture 3 is of the CORRECT and amazing work that Mr. Jewelry did! And I was only charged $300!! Go to Mr. Jewelry for your jewelry and repairs. Segal jewelers is NOT a reputable company!! They will take your money happily and have NO...
