A wonderful park to take kids of ALL ages!! The parking lot is BIG so finding parking here is never an issue. You walk through the "forest" (on a sidewalk, not a dirt trail so its easy in/out for those with disabilities) to get to the play areas -- one way in/out and gated all around so feels very safe. There's a sandbox (with communal toys), swings everywhere, SO many structures to climb up, through and over, a climbing wall and castle, bridges so on, so on. There are even those special swings with the overhead bars for kids with disabilities who night be too big for the kiddy swings but not physically able to do the regular ones. The paths are easy to get around being paved and there are lots of benches to sit and relax. There's a free library on the main path leading into the park too! The park is huge. It's my kids FAVORITE and it's got everything any kid could possibly dream of playing on. 100% recommend visiting this park with your Littles if you're looking to give them a super fun experience, especially if you're looking to get some of that...

This is a great park for kids. There's so much to do you can easily spend a couple hours here letting your kids get that energy out. The whole play area is fenced, which is great for safety. It's mostly shaded so it's great for summer visits even on super hot days. It's been a little buggy sometimes, so bring spray. It's a great place to bring a lunch. Be aware, though, dogs are not allowed in this part of the park. The only problem I have is the lack of inclusion. I have a child in a wheelchair and other than maybe the one special needs swing (that lost its straps long ago), there's really nothing for her to do. The ramps going around the play areas are too narrow for her to go up. It's also hard to navigate parts of the park (in a chair or walker) because of the mulch. Hopefully, as more parks are doing in the area, they'll update a few sections for sensory and physically challenged kids. They want...

The Forest of Fun is an all around excellent gem of a park for kids. I love that there are defined sections for different age groups and tons of seating for parents to keep an eye on their kids, allowing fun and independence.

The bathrooms are clean with multiple stalls and working sinks. This is a major perk for parents! No accidents and less germs.

I love that there is a Free Little Library on site. The tree coverage also offers significant shade, which is great during the summer to reduce sunburn and keep the play structure cool. There's nothing worse than a hot slide.

The biggest downfall is the tendency to breed mosquitos, especially after rainfall....

Perfect place to explore. My 3year old kid is enjoying the sand box. The playground has lots of options. Includes animal sculptures, many swings, different styles of playgrounds(cool types of slides), a stage & many more. Comes with lots of trees, benches and tables for parents to watch their kid. Plenty of people but I tried not to include them in the photos for privacy. Plenty of room for very active kids. Right next to the restroom. Plus a mini cute library. I just wished it had better options of books. We had fun. We will come back again.

We love this park! It feels like a playground hidden in the forest. There are several different playgrounds, each accommodates a different age group. Although my kids (ages 7 and 4) enjoy all of them. There are tons of swings and even a big sand box area for kids to play. There's a nice cement path that goes throughout the play area, benches, a grassy area, and TONS of trees for shade. I love that the entire play area has a fence around it with one entry point and restrooms close by too. It's one of our favorite places to take the kids!

We had a blast at Fun Forest! My children are 10 and 3 and they both had plenty to do to keep them entertained! The sand pit has real fossils to dig and fortunately somebody already half way dug up something when we got there, we just had to uncover the remaining pieces! Some of the toddler area could use a good overhaul... like the suspended turtle that no longer clears the ground and there were a lot of spiders in the corners of the wooden structures. Other than that... we had a great day at Chesapeake City Park!
