A wonderful park to take kids of ALL ages!! The parking lot is BIG so finding parking here is never an issue. You walk through the "forest" (on a sidewalk, not a dirt trail so its easy in/out for those with disabilities) to get to the play areas -- one way in/out and gated all around so feels very safe. There's a sandbox (with communal toys), swings everywhere, SO many structures to climb up, through and over, a climbing wall and castle, bridges so on, so on. There are even those special swings with the overhead bars for kids with disabilities who night be too big for the kiddy swings but not physically able to do the regular ones. The paths are easy to get around being paved and there are lots of benches to sit and relax. There's a free library on the main path leading into the park too! The park is huge. It's my kids FAVORITE and it's got everything any kid could possibly dream of playing on. 100% recommend visiting this park with your Littles if you're looking to give them a super fun experience, especially if you're looking to get some of that...
Read moreThis is a great park for kids. There's so much to do you can easily spend a couple hours here letting your kids get that energy out. The whole play area is fenced, which is great for safety. It's mostly shaded so it's great for summer visits even on super hot days. It's been a little buggy sometimes, so bring spray. It's a great place to bring a lunch. Be aware, though, dogs are not allowed in this part of the park. The only problem I have is the lack of inclusion. I have a child in a wheelchair and other than maybe the one special needs swing (that lost its straps long ago), there's really nothing for her to do. The ramps going around the play areas are too narrow for her to go up. It's also hard to navigate parts of the park (in a chair or walker) because of the mulch. Hopefully, as more parks are doing in the area, they'll update a few sections for sensory and physically challenged kids. They want...
Read moreThe Forest of Fun is an all around excellent gem of a park for kids. I love that there are defined sections for different age groups and tons of seating for parents to keep an eye on their kids, allowing fun and independence.
The bathrooms are clean with multiple stalls and working sinks. This is a major perk for parents! No accidents and less germs.
I love that there is a Free Little Library on site. The tree coverage also offers significant shade, which is great during the summer to reduce sunburn and keep the play structure cool. There's nothing worse than a hot slide.
The biggest downfall is the tendency to breed mosquitos, especially after rainfall....
