Westchester Public Library - Township History Museum — Attraction in Chesterton

Absolutely wonderful, incredibly wise, and kind-hearted staff! I was expecting to tour an interesting museum, though I assure you there is much more than an interesting house. Inside are thousands, if not tens of thousands of physical files, photos, and other historical records contained inside. With the help of staff, I was able to find pictures I have never seen before of my great grandmother (and her two siblings!) who passed in 2014 and never bought school photos! Really neat that they are collecting history of Chesterton and cataloging the items. We gave my mom's 1945 CHS diploma and senior picture to them. They did not have year books during WWII. Had leather covers for their diploma. Items are treated...
