I have given this place WAY too many tries. Today was the last. The last few times the sandwiches have barely any meat on them. I use to love the Chicken Tortilla soup. Last time I got it, it was later around 3:00 and it had nothing in it but broth. I went earlier today and same thing. Not only is it almost all broth, it is watered down and flavorless. What I can find in the broth is beans. Literally not ONE piece of chicken in this. $10.00 for a 16oz cup of soup (7.94 plus a 2.00 tip). Why is this place so OVER RATED? Because it's the only Deli in town? I will never spend another penny there and will make sure to let my family and friends know to save their hard earned cash too. Duneland Deli is the finest sandwhich shop in Chesterton. A real local gem.

I have now tried many of their sandwiches and between the quality breads, meats and other condiments and toppings I have only had good meals here.

A little pricy for the Chesterton area but worth it.

Nice easy to read menu.

They do offer smaller portions.

The side items such as soups, chips and other items are solid.

A call out for this business not following the crowd and getting either a Coca-cola or Pepsi for soda offerings. Instead offering craft sodas such as Jones colas and Cheerwine without an upcharge.

They have a cash tip jar, no tips via credit card.

Adequate seating and comfort.

It can get busy there...

Very welcoming atmosphere. Delicious sandwiches made exactly the way you want, so if there is something that you didn't like, it's on you.

The meat is sliced fresh daily, the bread is always fresh, great variety of sandwiches available and all reasonably priced. Various soups and chili to select from daily. Probably have a hard time not finding something you will not like. I have tried avariety of sandwiches and all are stock piled high with ingredients. Will also make just about any sandwich into a salad. Don't see something on the menu that you want, they'll make your request, if they can. Just ask.
