My daughter has been taking art classes here for a few years now. I am so impressed with the children's program. Ms. Jennifer is very knowledgeable and so great at working patiently with the children. They study a new artist each month and bring home multiple projects using a variety of media. It is worth it to purchase a family membership. You then get a discount on the art classes. Cookies and canvas events are something my daughter always looks forward to! The Chesterton Art Center is a great place to find works from a variety of local artists for sale, as well as seeing shows from local and regional artists and art groups; or to take classes, and workshops for adults as well as kids of all ages. A great local art gallery for local artists in the Duneland area. This is a really talented community and the Chesterton Art Center has been an important part of that for years, offering classes for artists of all size and displaying all kinds of art.
