Santa Fe is by far one of the best free, public parks I've ever been to. It is well taken care of and maintained by the Chillicothe park district, and well loved by the locals. There's an awesome zero depth splash pad that is fun for all ages on one side of the park, and a large playground on the other side. The playground has a large slide tower for older kids, and a smaller train themed play area with slides for younger kids. There's also a covered pavilion/eating area, many picnic tables scattered throughout, and a building that houses two clean, well maintained restrooms. A walking path encompasses both play areas and the park as a whole, and a big field/baseball field area is attached. There is ample, convenient parking surrounding the entire park. There are also special events at the park throughout the year, most notably screenings of kids movies in the summer. I highly recommend this park for a few hours or an entire day of fun, depending on what you're looking for. Great for a few kids, a birthday party, or a large group gathering! The water turns on in May and stays on until temps turn cold in September/October. Restrooms are locked...

It's small but beautiful park. Children park is very nice. Slides are very good and huge. Concept of train and road crossing is very good. They have small picknic shed and grills facility. Small slide for younger children is very nice and made in shape of railway engine. The most beautiful part of park is wet zone. They have various small water games for children. Children of all ages enjoy it very much. This is also very good for all ages to chill out when it's very hot and humid. Park also has baseball ground and nice walk way around the park. It has many seating benches around the park. Small but very nice park. Park also has small bookshelf as...

I am from out of state and was looking for somewhere free to take my daughter cause I was low on money. I drove about 20 minutes away from Peoria and we spent about an hour or two there . We went around 11am. I felt it was worth it. There were mostly smaller kids. It was nice to see doors on the bathroom stalls cause ones in Peoria didn't have any. They also had a baby changing table which I haven't seen any in the few I've been to in Ohio. Anyway, she had fun. The water kicks off sometimes I'm not sure if its timed or what. The splash pads close to where I live are constantly running. It was a nice little park.
