I bought 3 games from here spent 60 bucks one of the games did not work and another I did not like very mucH when I went back to return the game that did not work I was told they did not do refunds and was told there was a sign stating so but when he pointed out where the sign was there was no sign the employee said “ well there is usually a sign there “ then I was told I can exchange The broken game for store credit came out to be $16 store credit I saw a game I like that was $19 I offered to give them the game I did not like but I also brought with me if they would buy it back they said no they had enough copies I said how about I just give it to you to make up the three dollars difference because I only had $16 store credit but the game I liked was 19 old me know are you kidding me I thought I thought this came from you guys for $20 and now you won’t even take it back to make up a three dollar difference I was disgusted and just left my broken game in the game I didn’t like there and left I’m never going to go back if you don’t give a customer what he wants why would he ever come back Now I know why they are always empty when I go there GameStop works with you and that’s a huge franchise I thought the mom and pop store would be better than them...
Read moreThis pandemic has brought out the worst in people and this place is no exception. They are only selling to customers who have been going there for 5+ years. I have been to this place before and had a pleasant experience. It is a good store but to turn business away is ludicrous. A store should sell to any consumer, not exclusively to their long time friends.
In response to your reply, I do support my LOCAL businesses. I frequent two shops in the South Bay where I currently live. I thought I could go back to what I considered "my old shop in Chino" and get treated like a normal customer but that might be too much to ask in times of a crisis.

I drove all the way over here from el monte which is at least $20 in gas round-trip, and not close to my house at all. Soon as I get here he tells me it’s $89 completely and that $30 is just the starting fee nowhere in the conversation on the phone Did you say anything about a starting fee nothing about $80 $90 nothing his direct answer when I asked him the question was $30, they offered no type of compensation or no type of discount for this huge inconvenience.
