This is my nearest grocery store, but I wish there were another close option. Their selection is terrible and gets worse every week. Any time I find something that I really like and buy tons of it, rather than adding more stock, they stop carrying it altogether! It's happened to me and my friends and family so many times that we've started to wonder if they are doing it purposefully. They are often or of stock of so many things that I always leave missing at least one item on my list. Sometimes there are entire empty shelves. The butcher closes right around dinner time, so good luck getting anything fresh for dinner unless you get there early. Sad since this is the only real grocery store in Bonita Valley proper. It was impressive when it chased BIG BEAR and the Original Bonita Store out of business but pales to the Vons in East Lake or the Ralph's across from BVH and South Western College. Although that Ralph's has its own issues.
Always thought The Bonita Store was a better store than it ever hoped to be a restaurant.

Greedy, self-centered, bully shoppers grabbing everything put out before anyone else had a chance. All I wanted was a few cans of tuna and I left with nothing. I demanded a raincheck, which they tried to deny me, for my trouble and waste of time. On the way out with my empty cart, I had to inhale the cigarette smoke of a Vons employee in the public walkway. Disgraceful image. Wouldn't want her touching anything I bring home. I will never ever go back...
