The Redmoor Event House is a must… I recently had the pleasure of attending an event at an enchanting old theatre in the Mt. Lookout area of Cincinnati, Ohio. The Redmoor is beautifully repurposed as a versatile event space. The venue effortlessly blends vintage charm with modern functionality, offering seating arrangements to accommodate both intimate gatherings of two and larger groups of up to eight.
Our experience was further enhanced by the exceptional service provided by Meghan, our table server. Her attentiveness, warm demeanor, and professionalism made the evening all the more enjoyable.
The highlight of the night was a Christmas album release party by the immensely talented Ben Levin and his remarkable quartet. Ben Levin is known for his authentic retro sound, evoking the golden era of 1950s and 1960s blues. His piano playing is mesmerizing, and the chemistry within the quartet is palpable. Ben’s father, a skilled guitarist, adds depth to the music, while Cincinnati legend Sonny Hill brings unmatched expertise to the bass. The quartet was rounded out by a gifted saxophonist, whose contributions elevated the performance to extraordinary heights.
Having had the pleasure of seeing the Ben Levin Quartet on multiple occasions, I can confidently say their performances never disappoint. Their music is vibrant and soul-stirring, consistently captivating the audience. The energy in the room was infectious, with attendees engaged, participating, and even dancing to the quartet’s stunning repertoire.
Overall, the combination of this unique venue, exceptional service, and world-class music made for an unforgettable evening. I would highly recommend this theatre and any opportunity to experience the brilliance of Ben Levin and his quartet. Check out the Redmoore for an evening of great...
Read moreOur daughter's wedding reception was at the Redmoor in April, 2019, and we were so very pleased with the way it turned out. From the first time our daughter and then future son-in-law visited the venue up through and including the few days after the event when we took care of the follow-up details, Mandie could not have been more pleasant and accommodating - and she is just a nice person in general. Clearly her vision is to make sure everyone has a good time and she does what is needed to make that happen. She diligently worked with us ahead of time as we expressed our thoughts, always responding in a timely manner, and did a spectacular job bringing it all to fruition.
We knew the food was delicious because of our experience at the tasting, and it didn't disappoint the night of the reception. We chose roasted NY strip steak and chicken Marsala as the entrees; I personally received numerous comments about how good the food was and how lovely everything looked. (Even the chicken strips and the caprese baguettes were yummy.) The buffet was kept well-stocked and the staff was pleasant, professional and attentive, even going so far as to serve the toddler in a high chair first so she wouldn't get antsy.
I was concerned beforehand because I thought the sloped nature of the venue flooring (think movie theatre, which it was in its former life) and the bridal party being located on the stage might be an issue but they actually turned out to be a benefit. Guests could see everything happening both at the bridal table and on the dance floor because they were sitting up higher - no stretching of necks required.
We highly recommend the Redmoor and if the need ever arises would not hesitate to have another...
Read moreWe recently hosted a cultural celebration for the Cincinnati Turkish American Association at The Redmoor Event House, and I can say without hesitation--it was flawless from start to finish.
The planning process was smooth, collaborative, and impressively organized. Mandie McDonald, who serves as the Executive Director and Owner at The Redmoor anticipated every detail, from layout to lighting, and executed it with precision. On the day of the event, the setup was elegant and efficient, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.
What truly sets The Redmoor apart is the professionalism and grace of their team. The setup team, waitstaff and kitchen crew were attentive, courteous, and remarkably well-coordinated. Every guest felt cared for, and the service never missed a beat.
A special shoutout to their sound engineer, Dwayne Adams, who stepped in at the very last-minute when we switched from having a live band performance to a playlist of selected music. He curated a playlist that kept the energy high and the crowd engaged all night--an incredible save that turned a potential hiccup into a highlight.
If you're looking for a venue that combines charm, professionalism, and a team that genuinely cares about your event's success, The Redmoor Event House is it. We're grateful for their partnership and look forward to many more celebrations in this outstanding space.
I extend my highest commendation for the care, precision, and hospitality shown...
