This is a pretty small, low-key wine bar with a bottle shop in the back. We came on a Saturday night and loved the vibe; it was close to capacity by around 8pm, but never felt over-crowded. They serve small bites every other day of the week, but have a chef in-house on Saturday nights with some smaller and "bigger" plates prepared out in the open. Overall, food portions were a little smaller than we expected, but everything was pretty decent and enjoyable. For the wines, my friends liked the Moscato and spoke highly of the Mendoza's sweet/spicy notes. The folks in the cellar were extremely helpful and gave me some good bottle recs. Read moreOutstanding food and quaint service as the facility is small inside. Bar is great to look at and drinks are plentiful. There is a banquet room upstairs, perfect for a party of say 10. Food is so fresh and unique in portions and affordable for sure. Now the wine selection is beyond expectations as there is a well-stocked beautiful wine store and tasting room behind the restaurant. Buy a great bottle at retail and consume with your meal up front, no corkage fee. Go to their web site and look up the biographies, a super qualified staff on wine and culinary delight. Been there a couple times and will go back again. Just find parking in Mount Lookout, it is...
Read moreWe have visited Vinology several times. Their staff is inviting and helpful. I think I know them all already. We attended their Sat night dinners twice along with Tues night wine tastings. The food was really good from Chef John. The portions are smaller but so is the bill for excellent food. We then had celebration dinner with them and their sommelier David. A great event for 12 of us. Service was outstanding and food & wine choices were varied. Highly recommend Vinology for small events for great food and wines. Suggest groups of 8-10 (tighter with 12) to fit the room and...
