Came here for a good cheese burger. Got here at 7pm on a Friday. Knowing they would be busy. Put our names in for first available seat not caring where we ate we just wanted to eat. We went to the bar to order a drink. I sat at the bar to wait for the bartender then being told i wasnt allowed to sit there. After explaining i only wanted to order a few drinks and we would stand outside he quickly but not politely waited on me. Waited outside around 30 mins seeing that everyone that was here before us was seated. I went in and asked the hostess if she had an idea when we would be seated and was very polite about it And she said we were next. Less then 5 mins later she began seating several people that were here well after us. When I finally asked about why others with the same amount of people (2) were being seated who have been there less than 10 minutes and us standing outside for more than 45 she pointed to a table and said take that one. I could see on her wait list several people that had been added to the list were seated prior to us even though they got here well afterward when their name was not on the list prior to our arrival. I guess it's who you know.. Not a good practice to have especially for those who have been loyal to you since you've opened in Mt Lookout. Now for the food. My classic double was still good like it used to be. The wife had a spicy chicken sandwich that does not taste like what it used to. Waffle fries had sat long enough to where they were clearly a garnish at this point but the dipping sauce was still good. Our waitress however was still kind and efficient. She was the only saving grace at this point. Still not worth the wait and certainly not worth the way we were treated by the hostess and bartenders. Update: Owner got in touch within 24 hours apologized and made things right. It's not often you have a business owner actually get in touch and actually want to do whatever they can to perfect their business. I...

First of all their crispy Brussels Sprouts ($8) are top notch! These are a staple of many American restaurants now, but Delwoods are served with Aji Verde aioli. The sauce is a spicy Peruvian green sauce, sometimes made with cilantro, jalapeños, mayonnaise, and Parmesan. These are delicious and a staple of our order every time!
While not listed specifically on their menu, Delwood is very kid friendly. They have a burger that is served plain with cheese and ketchup on the side. Their burger is quite good, and my daughter has even grown to love their Classic Double Cheeseburger ($11), with cheese, pickle, and special sauce.
My go-to sandwich is the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich ($10) with spicy Rocoto aioli and salsa Criolla. Rocoto is a Peruvian chili pepper, which really adds a kick to this sandwich. And the salsa Criolla (pickled onions and peppers) adds a nice balance to the heat.
Their buttermilk fried chicken is extremely good. It's a great start for their chicken sandwiches, and can even be ordered as an entrée or from the kid's menu.
And finally, no meal of ours is complete without an order of waffle fries ($5) served with Aji Amarillo aioli. The Aji Amarillo is the Peruvian Yellow Chili Pepper, so the sauce again has a bit of heat. We also have some ketchup available for the kids or to put out the heat in our mouths after all of the...
Read moreDelwood deserves the love. This place totally blew me away. It’s tucked into Mount Lookout Square and somehow manages to feel both modern and super chill at the same time. Perfect spot whether you’re grabbing a casual dinner with friends or out for a low-key date night.
The food? Incredible. I got the spicy fried chicken sandwich and it was next level—crispy, juicy, spicy but not overpowering. My friend got the double cheeseburger and I had a little food envy (luckily he shared). We also split the chopped salad which was surprisingly filling and super fresh, loaded with avocado, corn, feta, all the good stuff.
Drinks were strong and well-balanced. I had the margarita (classic, done right) and my girlfriend got the Paloma—super refreshing. The cocktail menu isn’t huge, but what they do, they do really well. They’ve got a solid beer list too if that’s more your thing.
The vibe inside is really welcoming—think warm lighting, clean design, but not trying too hard. Staff was friendly, attentive but not overbearing. And shoutout to the outdoor patio—really nice on a warm night.
Bonus points for showing FC Cincinnati and European soccer matches. You can tell they care about the local crowd and creating a neighborhood spot that people want to keep coming back to.
Honestly, Delwood has become one of my new favorite spots in the city. Definitely recommend checking it out. Just do yourself a favor and get that chicken sandwich. You’ll...
