Riddler's Escape Tampa — Attraction in Citrus Park

Went recently and did both detective and lodge room. Was very excited to do these rooms as the reviews were spectacular. Right off bat, game master walked back into our room because intro tv wasn’t on. Found a lock that wasn’t locked and when asked bout it, shrugged it off. Found a cheat sheet to a very important puzzle. Multiple items that were part of solving clues didn’t work. Monitor and sound machine. The Lodge has a great concept but everything seemed everywhere. Once again , lock was left unlocked to a puzzle. Story line was everywhere. Part of the room you have to stick your arm in a hole, and let’s say if you’re not stick and bones, then your arm ain’t fitting. Told that to game master and once again shrugged it off. 3/4 people in my party couldn’t fit their arm in. Room was very hot as well.

I hate giving 1 star reviews but we had 0 fun here. Went with a group of 4 friends, 3 of which we had done over 100+ escape rooms. We did the new detective room and the lodge room. I understand the detective room is fairly new, but we had a cheat sheet in the room, one of the tvs that had a hint was not on, and certain props did not work. The room definitely needs some work and it felt like we were beta testing the room.

The lodge room was fairly better, however again, we had missing locks and the room was hot. It felt more of a traditional puzzle solving room rather than an escape room with a storyline since some of the locks didnt make sense. I would recommend exit games in clearwater or escape ventures in orlando or pt charlotte. Not sure if we would...

I gave this a very in-depth review on Morty (the app all escape room enthusiasts should have!), but felt the need to come on here and give a shout out to Damian. He said he was new to GMing, but he was honestly a 10/10. Gave us everything we needed before we got in, gave us the right amount of information we needed in the clues as to not completely give us the answers, and didn’t butt-in when we didn’t need help.
