I find a certain tranquillity at Washington Park Lake. I like to walk, or sometimes just sit and people watch. It's a beautiful place that is evident by the many, many photos I have taken there. The play house has summer plays that are free to public and can even go place a blanket or chair a few hours before it starts. You must leave them and return when the doors open but that's very cool. A beautiful centerpiece of the Park, the lake is surrounded by a walking path and features a beautiful bridge. The Lake House is a unique part of the Park which augments its historical significance. The lake is frozen in winter, but be careful not to step on the ice, stay on shore! A highly recommended place to take a walk, relax, and enjoy this beautiful park.
