NOT wheelchair accessible! Their website says they have accessible parking and entrance, but it doesn't mention accessible bathrooms. I emailed to ask and I was told it was 100% accessible. Showed up and the only door that wasn't locked was too narrow for my chair, and the guy out front letting people in had no idea how to handle that. He had me go around to the side, which has stairs and was barricaded anyway. Finally someone came out and said she didn't have a key to the big doors, so I had to wait in sub freezing temps until she found a key. Then, in order for me to use the bathroom, I was escorted to the 2 bathrooms that were open, neither of which were wide enough for the wheelchair (my chair is only 24 inches wide, so it should have been easy.) Again I was asked to wait while she walked around and unlocked the door to the bathroom that was actually accessible. Everyone was extremely nice, but it was embarrassing and frustrating. Hopefully they figure it out so nobody else has to...
Read moreNo longer a vaccine site! Had to go in-person in order to find this out because nothing was updated online. Being one of the only walk-in sites in the area, you’d think this information would be pertinent to the community.
The signs in the area still identify the armory as a vaccine site & all information online also states that it’s an active vaccine site. It isn’t until you walk up to the door of the Armory to read the 8x11 paper taped to the Armory’s front door that reads; ‘no longer a vaccine site. If you need a vaccine, go to CrossGates Mall.’
While I’m sure the Armory isn’t directly responsible for these smooth brain decisions, it’s still laughable that we are in 2021 and the capital of New York still doesn’t know how to use the internet to provide information to...
Read moreHuge wrestling event, tons of people, from 730am until 4-5pm. This is our second event here, the 1st was also a very large event. The concession stand CANNOT handle the amount of people that come to the events here. Out of 3 fridges, only 1 has drinks, the condiments area is a mess, there's no clear order of the start of a line, limited food options, especially when you're here all day long. We had needed a spoon and were told by 2 people they don't have any but another try and a guy had to go to the back to get one. It's honestly a mess for the amount of people they expect for these types of things. They have air dryers in the bathroom but no paper towels in the...
