My wife, two kids (7 & 2) went to see the July 4th fireworks at the Morgan Memorial Park this year (2018). It was such an amazing experience. We parked just a few blocks away from the park (for free) walk down to the park and found a spot right beside the stage. The orchestra was playing old classics and kids of all ages were playing around just having an amazing time. The area was perfect for kids because no one was smoking or drinking or being loud. I don't know if you can find a better place for spending a few hours with the family. The fireworks started at around 9pm and went on for at least 30 mins or more. The drive back was a bit tough but the police directed traffic very well in my opinion and everyone seem to have a good time. From our spot we were also able to see the sea cliff fire works and parts of the Jones beach fireworks in the far distance. I would highly recommend the venue for anyone not just for Juky 4th but also to spend a quite evening with family and friends. There is spot to go fishing and walk on the sandy beach. Please note there are no dogs allowed nor drinking alcohol or smoking. You will find restaurants near by but not sure if there are any that's within walking distance of the park. Residents of Glen Cove and Locust Valley may use Morgan Park from Memorial day to Labor day. they check for residency at...

Several roads, trials and stairs lead to the picnic area. During the month of July and August, free concerts are held and they don't disappoint. Plenty of free parking. But, must be a Glen Cove resident, during the summer. Non-residents are welcomed in the park after 6pm. So, concerts in the park are attended by residents and non-residents. Great time had by all. They even have nice picnic areas with grills, YES!! Leads you there, it's on a hill. Lot's of benches with beautiful views of the water and boats across the way, simply beautiful, worth repeating. Snack bar by beach so if you're handicapped the parking lot and lower grounds cater to someone using a cane or a wheelchair. The further down you walk, there is a challenge for the physically handicapped, it would be the mounting hills on your...

It was just great strolling through the park with a view to the beach, through the trees, interesting buildings on the property... just a lovely afternoon taking in the joys of this little park. I reviewed a lot of the photos that are posted on this site & I must say that we took a bunch of those same angle shots ourselves!
