Burger Boys Bar & Grill — Restaurant in City of Glen Cove

I happened by Burger Boys and decided to give them a try in pursuit of that flavorful old style diner/bar burger. My hopes were high. After checking the reviews, they went higher. Outside seating was what I preferred. The perfect seat was available for watching cars or seeing people pass by. Since this was spontaneous, I thought I would try take out, hamburger and fries. But, after requesting the hamburger and fries to go. Less than 2 seconds, I called back and explained that I was sitting outside and would be dining there instead of taking my order to go. I decided to sit outside and enjoy my meal and do an online review about my burger experience. Well, the lovely lady over the ph was quite accommodating. Very friendly and kind. No menu was provided. She only confirmed what I previously asked for, a burger and fries. She did ask, no cheese? Why, yes, I'll have a cheesburger. Thank you, I responded. She insisted I should come inside. But, I really wanted the full experience of outside dining. How was it? It was pretty impressive there was no delay. The food came out quickly, and there was an abundance of the most delicious, perfect saltied fries. I have had in forever. No, correction. Never have I had such delicious fries. Addictive to the point that I made a mental note to return to reorder nothing. But, fries. Unbelievably tasty. Now, the cheeseburger. Yes, it did not disappoint. It was the BAR BURGER!!! The one from long ago that is indelibly imprinted upon your palate. This review may have typos. But Burger Boys served up the perfect meal for a burger craving along with the best fries you ever did eat. Now, why low marks for service and atmosphere? The nice woman brought the food and I never saw her again. I wanted a dessert. Now that I chose to stay, I wanted to see what else was on the menu. I waited and waited and waited. She disappeared. I called the restaurant and she picked up. When she spoke to me over the phone or in person, she didn't ask if I wanted anything else. Or, how was everything. She did say that it would be $18. I never received the menu. Or dessert. But, I was shocked, $18, for a burger and fries. I tipped 25% despite the cheeseburger sticker shocker. Was it worth it? Would you spend $18 on a burger and fries? I would not. It's not the server's fault. But, mine. So, everyone, request a menu before ordering. I was taken aback, I Googled the menu and was relieved the burger was under $11. But, no fries. The fries were $8. I wouldn't pay $8 for fries!! But, I would pay $8 to eat the most delicious fries I ever had. Perfectly cut and salted for a knock your socks off, freshly, hand cut fries. Yes, I would, and so would you. So, don't delay. Get down to the landing at Burger Boys Bar. Don't take it to go. Get the full experience by staying awhile. What about the outside atmosphere? Well, here's the thing. Are you a smoker?? I observed and experienced the full effect of a few smokers exiting the establishment just to have a smoke. There's no outside sign requesting a certain distance away from outside dining patrons. The smoke was disturbing my meal. But, I never said a word. Instead, I observed what appeared to be regulars being the most courteous. Inquiring if the smoke was infringing upon my space and vocalizing how they would move down a little further and they did. Why is this important to share? Regular patrons sometimes are a reflection of the type of establishment. Remember the friendly server that went MIA? She still was friendly and now the customers are too. I actually was conversing with them. I kept my smile. Good food. Good experience...

First of all, it was cold 🥶 inside. We sat a bit close to the door which didn't help with all the outgoing orders and the door opening and closing. I think that they got the view when my date and I put our coats back on! The heat came on 🔥. So this place is called 'Burger Boys'. Figured the burgers would be good, right? I guess it was an off night or Door Dash distracted from the Dine-In customers. Ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato and mayo. And a Mexican Burger both MR. Burgers were MW at best. Pictures show half-sour pickles. We got some jarred pickle chips. The fries were mediocre. Best thing about the whole thing was laughing at the karaoke singing! 'Me and...

Great Food and atmosphere. Came here a bunch of times and tried several different menu items. the burgers are cooked perfectly and are the perfect amount of juicy. the fresh cut fries are also delicious. i’ve also had the Cesar salad, chicken sandwich and chicken quesadilla which were all amazing. you cant go wrong with anything you order at burger boys. A menu item i suggest you try is the mac attack burger. the mac and cheese is perfectly cheesy and the burger is surprisingly light for such layered burger. with friendly staff and a cool vibe and classic burger joint interior design, you cant go wrong...
