First Dam — Attraction in City of Ithaca

This was an awsome quick place to visit in the city to go for a hike and a swim!! Its absolutely beautiful you do need water shoes because its all rock. Be carful for snakes we saw two & one of them was a copperhead which is poisonous. Its very deep where the dam is to swim and there are two small falls. There is parking for about 8 cars in the wildflower hiking trail lot. There is street parking for about eight cars a quarter mile down the road. End result, this is not a place you can drive to and swim. The trails/ parking are pretty much limited to hikers. Do not expect any easy access, easy parking, or a short walk.
