This is my absolute favorite nature spot in all of Ithaca. Not only is it relatively secluded, the paths are all clear and easy to walk. I've happened to find several little hide away spots as well that give me the perfect inspiration for my art and writing. Whether you're coming with friends/family, or just to be alone, this is the greatest spot to relax and take in the beauty of nature around you, you can even take a quick dip in the water! The main trail is relaxing and easy, great for a quick stroll, but gets a little shady near the dam, nothing too bad. The lesser trails wind through the woods and are more wild and secluded. Careful if you take the upper trail out to Second Dam; it's pretty steep and slippery, and it gets very narrow in some sections with a pretty sheer drop-off. My dog loves coming here and sniffing/running around the trails and wading...

There is an abandoned warehouse of some sort on the other side of the bridge with the roof caved on, but I am not sure if you can walk up to it without trespassing, very cool old structure that looks like somebody was building an impregnable fortress in the cliff edge. Check it out from the bridge, great view from the road! I think they should install a plaque to explain...
