U Tea Bubble Tea — Restaurant in City of Ithaca

I love u Tea this has been my favorite drink place in Ithaca for about 3 years. I have been a loyal customer, I’ve come probably 60 times. However this past year a member of the staff that they hired is kind of rude and ruins the experience. More specifically this one guy, I don’t know his name but he was working the register around 11:50 Tuesday (in which I over heard him talking about me to another employee bc he was mad I ordered 3 toppings). He has an arrogant attitude and whenever I order with him he rushes me through the orders and continuously says “is that it” or after I name even one drink he rushes and gives me my total when I said I have another drink to order. He also gets an attitude whenever u ask for more than one topping in a drink and complains about it to coworkers for you to hear as he did today. Mind you I have been coming here before he’s ever worked here and have never had an issue with the toppings, none of the other employees has an issue but him. Sometimes he refuses and acts like he can’t make it until I tell him it’s literally never been an issue with any one else making it . He has no customer service skills, u can say thank you or have a good day to him and he says none of that back or atall. Ultimatey you should want the customer to spend more money so if I order two drinks instead of one that shouldn’t be rushed and I shouldn’t be cut off and if I’m ordering 2 or 3 toppings that I’m paying additional for that shouldn’t be an issue. He’s kind of ruining the utea experience he just isn’t a great personality to have at the register he’s rude. I’ve ignored his comments numerous times before but it’s come to a point where he’s making comments every time I order and I would like to get in contact with the manager, because it’s stopped me from coming as often. I love this place! I always get their brûlée bubble milk tea and it is always delicious! I think they use condense milk? Anyways it tastes so sweet and I love it. I have also not been able to find replica elsewhere that is as tasty, so it’s something I look forward to getting when I’m here.

The service was prompt. We went when it was not busy so we ordered and got our drinks immediately.

I love U Tea, I come here often, especially during summer since its only a 15 minute walk my place. I almost always get Thai Iced Tea with boba. If I could recommend, it would be that. Their other drinks are good though, but some can be a little too milky for my taste. The atmosphere is cozy, but often times there are not enough seats for everyone, and you usually just have to be lucky.
