I experienced racism in this park. It was unfortunately, I was there with my two daughters and wife. When a white older couple stared at us as if we didn’t belong there. The old lady looked right at us and spit saliva on the ground with a face filled with disgust. I normally don’t assume things and analyze situations pretty carefully. But this was a clear case of racism. And I understand they might’ve come from different times. But there’s no excuse for this behavior anymore in our country. We were not disturbing any peace, we were simply walking about and enjoying the view and park. Thankfully my family did not notice or paid attention to their actions. But I clearly did, I am a minority and own property in the area. So who ever does not like to see minorities in these parks. I’d advise you to stop visiting the park because me and my family will continue to go here. Maybe 🤔 I’ll bring more minority family and...

The park is beautiful, people come here to paddle board and whatnot. we came here to raft and it was nice but there were no signs warning us that the water was dangerous if you ended up out of the water. i got swept away by the current and my fiancé got trapped in deep mud while attempting to reach me. he ended up injured and i ended up traumatized, that could’ve ended terribly. please please please avoid entering the water outside of your boat/paddle board/raft directly on the shoreline, mostly near the bridge, its also super rocky and you will cut your feet. be cautious of muddy surfaces, test the water before you step into it, there should be signs warning you of this danger but there aren’t any. also no one is talking about the dangers of the water, just how pretty it is....

I stumbled upon this park on my first (and only) visit to New Rochelle on 29 December 2018. The weather wasn't great but I managed to spent about 2 hrs in the park visiting all the different nooks that make up this amazing park. Hudson Park & Beach can be seen from the islands. The views are magnificent. There is also a picnic area (bookings to be made) a playground for kids. I walked into the park but apparently a fee for cars are payable. I wish to visit this park in the summer as the park was very bare during winter. I also came across an old oven and wish to research the use of it during the past. This park must be very busy during summer as the scenery would be lovely with all the beautiful...

I was here with my boys for a picnic on Friday Oct. 13, 2023. Such a beautiful place with one of the most amazing sunset and very well kept, not too far from home, with plenty of space for a picnic on the grass with a blanket and play soccer. There are two areas where you can barbecue, it includes tables and benches. There is also a playground for the little one with slides, swings and a large sand box.

So this park charges $5 for parking BUT it is only for New Rochelle residents. My family and I came from NYC and we simply parked in the street and then walked in for free. So glad we did because this park is lovely! There’s bridges connecting the islands, and a small little ramp/dock thing where you can actually sit and touch the water! It can get very windy though- just a heads up!

First timer! Visited the park for an LL Bean adventure course in archery. Carl and Catherine were spectacular instructors. Very different styles and both effective. I had such a great time, learned a bunch, and can't wait to return to explore more of their adventures. Restrooms were well attended and the park was spotless
