Bought new appliances refrigerator stove washer and dryer. Within a year compressor was shot on fridge, s and s refused to do anything. Soon after stove faulted for main circuit board once again a and s response was that’s your problem. When my washer and dryer was delivered the washer was dropped from the truck. Delivery drivers asked me if I wanted them to stack them I said yes, paid them 100.00 tip for the stack. After all was hooked up and the drivers left. I noticed several dents and deep scratches in the washer. Contacted s and s and the excuse I got was the delivery man was having family issues. I said ok I feel bad for his issues, but that isn’t an excuse to destroy my stuff I bought. Guy I talked to said he would get back to me about it, that was six months ago no return contact. Since then I have had several issues with the washer throwing fault codes once again contacted s and s since it was under warranty. Took three weeks to get a repair man out to look at it. Repair man watched a couple you tube videos and said he had to order a door lock. When the door lock arrived they wanted to schedule another appointment two weeks awAy. I ended replacing the door lock myself. Upon replacement the washer faulted out again for the same issue. Contacted s and s again they sent a new repair guy out. This guy called GE and was told the main pcb board was shot. Again they ordered the part which took two weeks to come in. After part arrival they scheduled an appointment to replace pcb, which they no call no showed for that appointment. I called them to see if they were still going to show up (3pm) they said yes. At quarter to five I called the store again and they were already closed. Next day I went to store and this time blew up at them then left about an hour later a repair guy showed up with pcb tire my washer apart then said he had to get something at the shop. He left and never came back. So I replaced the pcb board myself. Upon reassembling my washer with a new pcb I plugged it in tried to run a load and the washer again faulted out for the same code. I then looked in the owners manual at code faults, and the code it is reading has nothing to do with the main board or the door lock. I am done with s and s in Norwich. I ordered the parts myself from eBay for half the cost. And in conclusion I will say gfy s and s and spending 9 grand on appliances and having them all go bad within six mo the to a year I am done with your company. My advice...
Read moreI have used this company over the years, as did my entire family growing up. Unfortunately, after this last experience, I will go out of town before I use them again. I had called for a repair of my wqsher back before the new year. I was told it would be a few weeks before i could be seen. (Which I was fine with). But it got canceled by them because the tech was stuck on other jobs. (Understandable. It happens). So we rescheduled for a couple of weeks down the road. I had to cancel this appointment as I got called into work. Then life happened, and it was put on the back burner. I finally rescheduled the appointment. The tech came on time. I explained what was happening with the washer, then showed him. He shut off the washer, opened the door, touched the inside drum, and told me the bearing gear was shot and would cost over $800 to fix. Then he offered to get me a new one at the store. I asked what the service fee would be, he said he had to call it in since I was paying with a card. The service fee cost for him to be there from 9:54 to 10:10 and do nothing was $86.40. He told me to call and talk to the store about the service fee. I did that as soon as he left. I was told they would look into it and call me back. I am still waiting for...
Read moreI can not believe S&S appliances is still in business, with the lack of customer service they have. I called about a refrigerator that was not working on Dec. 21st. And still do not have a working refrigerator. I know it was holiday time but today it is Jan. 7,2018 still no working refrigerator. The man who works and answered the phone when I called the service number told me at least 4 times that he would call me back to let me know if my parts had come in, never did I get a call from him I always had to call back told me one of my parts was not available that his distributor would have to make one and it won’t be done until spring. Mind you my refrigerator was purchased May of 2016. He suggested I buy a new refrigerator because of what it would cost to fix my current one my guess from different thing he had said it would probably have costed me 300.00 to fix. Funny how I called GE and got the part the next day. When I let them know I had the part and would like them to come out and fix my refrigerator they made no effort to do it in a timely manner. I would strongly suggest if you want an appliance fixed this is not the place to call. I never got-he mans name in the service department but he does not belong in that...
