Wilber Park — Attraction in City of Oneonta

I visited this park, not finding the playground as my family intended. As I am not a local, being on a vacation from NYC, I didn't explore enough to find the playground. We did come across the pool area but were not prepared for that kind of outing. Instead, my children showed interest in exploring the nearby creek. It was a totally different experience for us than we are used to. We're always surrounded by the busy city life, so taking in its beauty, watching the tadpoles, and tranquility was just enough to make the trip...

Could use a little updating, but it's a fine facility. The bathrooms leave much to be desired, but there is running water, which is something. The Pavillion also has electricity I believe, which is a definite plus if you are hosting a party there. The pavilions in each park are available to reserve for a reasonable fee, which varies depending on the size and whatever accommodations it has. Wilber Park is a beautiful park in the city of Oneonta, there is something for everyone, pleasant walking, tennis courts, a quality playground, nice pavilion with picnic tables and grills nearby. The city pool in season, what more could you ask for, a park in the country! I have one request of the city of Oneonta, how can you possibly tarnish this place with a restroom that is disgraceful.
