New York Boat Company — Attraction in City of Peekskill

Took the Historic Cruise on September 2 at noon and it was wonderful. Six friends joined us and there were about 15 other people on the boat. The historian did a great job. He told stories about Revolutionary incidents that happened at different places along the river and about the people involved. Who they were, what they did and why. This area is so rich in Revolutionary history and seeing the actual places where events happened really brings it to life. Seeing the terrain, knowing how they traveled and how far they traveled puts things into perspective.

It was a beautiful day to be on the Hudson. Clear skies and calm water. There was coffee and pastries when we boarded and we purchased drinks on the return trip. We all enjoyed the 2 hour trip and all agreed that the Historic Cruise is a very pleasant and educational way to spend time on a nice day.

I highly recommend booking a crusie along the Hudson River with Trinity Cruises, located in Peekskill, New York. The Captain and her assistant were both very friendly and welcoming. This was our first time visiting the Hudson Valley. We booked the 1 Hour Summer Cruise and loved it! This cruise travels along a very scenic area of the Hudson River near Bear Mountain State Park. The first part of the cruise, the Captain shared all about the History of the area with a running commentary. On the return route, there is upbeat and relaxing music to enjoy as you cruise along back to Peekskill. I recommend that you book this cruise ahead of time to guarantee a seat.
