I live in peekskill for at last 20 years, move between towns around but come back to live here. Not only I love it here because it is close to all you need, also I enjiy Peekskill have the water front park where I can bring my 6 years old son to run free on the grass field and enjoy playing with new friends at the playground; we also an e joy the water view, enjoy as a Dad and Son to view the nature, goose and have fun building our own version of wood, leaves boats and play with the water. The sunsets are amazing, and just to be there, make you feel relaxed until you hear the horn from the train who pass every 15 minutes, but it is ok. In the summer they have many events from concerts to ferias and more so you can enjoy the warm weather. They have paths to walk for miles from peekskill to Buchanan town. This was the first time I went for a walk by the riverfront 🫣 It was both awesome & relaxing, especially sharing with friends such beautiful views of the Hudson River at dusk. Great views of the train tracks; some people had fishing lines dropped at the shore and others were walking their dogs. Worth stopping by at The Hudson Creamery for an ice cream. Twenty-nine (29) flavors daily!! Couldn’t decide if salty caramel pretzel or pistachio, so had both in a cup & a cone on the side🍦😋 T’was a very hot July evening 🥵& the ice cream melted in my hand. Both flavors blended together, so really couldn’t tell which one was “better,” though it was probably a close call. (Maybe pistachio is still my fave.) No ice cream pics, sorry...
Read more, it was easy to get around in my wheelchair the views of the Hudson River beautiful. That day people were taking some pictures wedding pictures the background was the Hudson River lots of people go there I will go again so beautiful there are statues and sculptures to see. Also there is a place to rent some boats to go out on the river and they have a place to eat outside, there's a gazebo that you can picnic under I hear that they have music in the park at night I would like to go but the Paratransit stops about 7:30 p.m. so it's very difficult to go there at that time go and experience the park for yourselves it's a wonderful place to visit lots of parking oh and there's the train that goes through the park you have to go over the tracks to get there it's so...
