Better Burger — Restaurant in City of Peekskill

Went there Friday night with wife. This business sells ice cream too. The store has two counters, one for ice cream and one for food. I know it's a relatively new establishment so I will take this into consideration. The following review is not to trash this place but as a learning experience since I have noticed responses from the manager on certain reviews. I ordered a Farm Fresh burger with fries and my wife ordered a Hot Dog with Sauerkraut. Food timing needs to be worked on because my burger and fries were not hot and the food side wasn't busy. The hot dog is not a traditional hot but a big, thick 1/4 pound ones that looks like a sausage. This was not explained, nor did I notice any reference to this eithet. The hot dog came out cold and with a very small portion of sauerkraut that didn't even cover any of the dog and seemed to come right out of the refrigerator. Frankly, the hot dog did not looked cooked by either boiling, steaming or grilled but looked like it was taken right out of the refrigerator too. You know how even a boiled hotdog looks slightly deformed from the cooking process. So, my wife asks for more sauerkraut and they gave her a portion in a smal cup you use for ketchup. Even with this portion, it really wasn't much either. Wife asked for a refund for her hot dog. I ate my burger which was very tasty but came to the table just warm. She didn't order anything else and we went to another place so she could eat. The staff and management were very nice to her and wanted to know if she wanted anything else but the hotdog experience turned her off completely. I ordered the farm to table burger with bacon, Cole slaw and Korean bbq sauce with a peanut butter shake and fries and buffalo wings for an appetizer . The burger came out and didn’t have bacon on it but instead had cheese, I www going to just ignore it but after taking a few bites realized that it also raw in the middle to the point of not being edible. I notified the waitress who brought it back to be recooked. When it was brought back the man who brought it said “I was told to re cook this” which I felt was just an unprofessional way of handling it and not taking accountability for under cooking it in the first place. I will say there is a sign that says all burgers will be cooked to medium unless otherwise specified and usually I liked my burgers that way but it was definitely not medium. After having it recooked I realized there also was no bacon on the burger like I had ordered so I asked for some. I will say after everything was fixed the burger was good but not as good as I would have expected for a burger place. The wings were excellent the sauce had good flavor and the wings were crispy on the outside without drying out the inside. The peanut butter shake tasted like fake peanut butter powder and had pieces of whatever it was in it, I was not a fan. The fries were good nothing wrong with them but just not the greatest. It’s clean inside and the view of the river is nice. If I go back it will be for the wings and to try a different flavor shake but I don’t know if I would get a burger...

Got a little confused, I think this restaurant moved into the same building as Froze. Overall, not bad but definitely a little overpriced. Was a little confused why I had to pay extra for ketchup and mustard on my hot dog when they also had ketchup out. It was still a relatively good hot dog.

We also got two burgers with bacon, cheese, and other toppings. The burgers are kind of dry and there's not really any sauce options for burgers. Definitely should add that...
