If you have any past affiliation with Plattsburgh Air Force Base and aviation then this small museum is a must see while in the area. The planes that flew there were part of history and the FB-111 was a modern marvel at the time. Not to mention its fascinating and thrilling ability to dump fuel and ignite it with its afterburner - a true spectacle. Ask about the 1983 incident. Read moreMy girlfriend and I came from Canada to spend the day in Plattsburgh, and after seeing other visitors' praise of the museum, we decided we should visit as well. I have to leave a 5 star review as well, very interesting tour from our volunteer guide Dave, a gentleman with personal experience in the Air Force. Although the museum itself is quite small with only two rooms, they are both filled to the brim with rich stories and insights into a very interesting time and culture.
